Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Barrie

What can I say. The pizza is great. Usually I order from the South end. Never had an issue.

I placed an order from the 40 Bell Farm location at 12:38 and was given a 35-45min time quote. I contacted the location for the final time (never ordering from Papa John's north end ever again) at 1:31pm. Well past the promised delivery time. -1 🌟

The pizza was cold and no offer to remake the pizzas -1 🌟

When I called to make the order I gave a phone number and location for drop-off. Both were wrong on the receipt with no instruction given to the driver for the correct location. -2 🌟's

After all this, I thought, for sure, they won't be charging me for the pizza. Not so much. And there was ZERO remorse from the person on the phone. -2 🌟's

If I could give negative stars that would be more accurate, but I can't, so they get more than they should with 1 star.

I paid for the cold pizza because the delivery was almost an hour late and my hungry wife was waiting in the hospital with our newborn.

When ordering pizza don't get delivery! If you have to order from the Bell Farm location don't get delivery (they don't listen and they don't care that they don't listen. A sucks-to-be-you attitude is all you'll get in return).

The driver, Matthew (if thats the right name), was very diplomatic, not speaking ill of his employer. You can tell he has a lot of experience with disgruntled customers. You are too good for this place, buddy. Quit and get a less stressful job elsewhere. You'll get more tips.

Papa John's is one of my favourite pizzas. I really like the $13.99 large 4 toppings special they run. I usually order the Great Canadian with sausage as the 4th topping. You can't beat this deal for two adults. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with the management of the Yonge St location when I ordered my usual 4 topping special, and I was charged more than three dollars more for a Great Canadian pizza. It was a mistake on the part of the young lady who took my order over the phone. But instead of admitting a mistake was made and fixing it, the person I spoke with when picking up told me they no longer offered that special. When I showed him the price on the website, he lied to me again, saying that it was only for online orders. The real problem was that he didn't know how to operate the cash register properly. Instead of simply asking the manager to help, he tried to just get me to pay the wrong price. It wasn't until I gave him the choice to either honour the proper price and sell me the pizza or I was going to walk out without it and they could just chuck it in the garbage that he finally asked the manager to come over and fix the price. Even the manager gave me a hard time by saying, "I'll fix it this one time, but I won't do it again." And he was right. I haven't been back since. I've been going to the Bell Farm Road location ever since. They have much better customer service and have no problem honouring the 4 topping...

Currently reviewing at a 1 star because my pizza was delivered to the wrong place. When I called the store the manager answered and was really kinda about it and offered to send out my pizza that I have now been waiting almost 2 hours for. He told me the driver knows the area that I live in and that he knows which unit is which because he used to live in the area. Clearly the driver didn't know because he delivered my pizza and garlic knots to the wrong building/unit. I was told someone picked up the pizza according to the delivery driver but it was not me. This is something that often happens with my area. Delivery drivers don't drop off food to the right place and they don't bother calling to check. Now I will wait and see if the replacement pizza shows up and if it is any good. Also contacted Papa John's support during all this and got the same response of the tracking may say it's delivered but its still on its way. So apparently pizza was taking 30 minutes to go 2km according to the support team. Review may change depending on what happens.

Edit: Got the pizza after 2 hours of waiting. The pizza was not worth it and was not worth the normal wait time. The pizza looked overcooked. The crust is like cardboard. The tomato sauce uses Roma tomatoes which for me does not go well on pizza. My light cheese instructions didn't seem to be followed. The garlic knots weren't...
