Quik Chik - Barrie — Restaurant in Barrie

I went into the Quik Chik on Duckworth first went there couple months back best chicken ever been back few times very satisfied. Unfortunately I went there today the special I always got was 10 piece chicken, 4 biscuits fries and drinks for around $24.00 dont remember exactly special today was $21.95 but only get 8 pieces, fries and no biscuits or drinks but I thought oh well I will still get it now here's the problem. The lady rang in my order at $19.99 plus two biscuits for $1.25 each for a total price of $22.49 before taxes not $21.95 as advertised. So I ask oh is this a new special I felt I was getting a better deal same amount chicken and fries but two biscuits as well for only 50 cents more. But no she said I have to charge you $19.99 and add price of two biscuits $ 1.25 each Wait for it she says the price for the special was $19.99 for chicken and fries but my cash register does not recognize the new price of $21.95 so I add in the price of two biscuits to make up the difference in price so you still get 8 pieces and fries only no biscuits. So I let that sink in for a minute then I say to her so by inputting $19.99 plus $1.25 for each biscuit you are now charging me $22.49 for the special instead of $21.95 so now I am paying 50 cents more for the special than what was advertised. So I am not really upset at 50 cents but the stupidity of it all and the very bad customer relations. If your cash register is not equipped to handle the new price don't advertise or charge it until it is ready then not screw over...

Service issue & hygiene problem!!!! When I visited here, a staff pushed me to order quickly. Thus, I ordered their value meal but I wanted to order another more expensive one instead of original order. A staff was so rude to say NO with confidence attitude. I paid for my meal but you didn’t prepare yet. Why can’t I switch my order? Your customer have right to change order before they get it. As a store also has right to return money back then kick me out. Your staff reaction were so ridiculous. Hopefully he’s not owner. I visited this store few times that was a great experience. I even want to leave good reviews before. However , today your staff kicked me out. BTW, Don’t trust that good review, they try to bribe customers to write fake reviews. Last month, a guy was trying to bribe me, but I don’t want to cheat folks to write the fake comments.

Also, they had hygiene issues, this guy touched the order system then directly touch burger without washing hands. Disgusting way to deal with foods 🤮

Hope people to avoid the bacterium burgers. I would like to stick in Mary brown or Popeyes instead of this place.

I've been wanting to go to Quik Chik located at the intersection of Grove Street and Duckworth in Barrie, Ontario for some time now and today was finally the day!!

I read all the reviews and decided to give them a try and I'm so happy that I did.

I was immediately welcomed by Ansh and he answered all my questions relative to my order which was cooked to perfection! I did not find that the chicken or fries were greasy - but was delighted that my 3 piece chicken meal which included 3 pieces of lightly seasoned and battered and lightly fried chicken also came with crispy fries and 1 oven baked bisket. (I ordered a extra 2 because they were so yummy!) The gravy was extra but well worth it. Family at home were happy as I brought some home for them to try too. They were pleased with their crispy and requested slightly spicy chicken on buns as well. I genuinely ask you to give Quik Chik at this location a try I do not believe that you will be disappointed! Ansh went above and beyond to make sure that I enjoyed the meal and for that I am truly appreciative of his great customer service which made my experience at this restaurant well worth visiting to today! We will be back and we will tell our family and friends to go to your restaurant. Thanks again...
