Update! The app now works for ordering. We where even able to exchange points. Although, we where denied a birthday drink regardless of it showing up on the app. Heads up.

My family and friends have had quite a few drinks and tried most of the food. After collecting some feedback the consensus is there is great bubble tea and baked goods here but the experience needs work. Many times now we have gotten drinks with missing ingredients. Like, no galaxy in the galaxy passion fruit tea, Missing boba and missing cream topping.

I did get the opportunity to try the baked goods.

I would say the buns are a mix between the bread texture of Saint Germain Bakery and the cream filling of Hattendo. Not a bad bun at all.

I asked for the condensed milk croissant heated up but left the other buns cold. The croissant just fell apart before I could even get a photo. The inside was nothing but boiling goo. They seem to be warming these up via microwave. Trying the taro bun the filling was great but the bread tasted like fridge. The seaweed bun was nice and umami/savory.

I took the rest home and did a reheating experiment. After lightly wrapping them in foil and warming the oven to 350°f here are the results.

Matcha bun: Warmed for 5 min. Still cool inside with slightly warm outside. Great texture for a cream bun. No fridge taste. Puts it about on par with Hattendo.

Chocolate bun: Warmed for 10min. More melty, closer to what you would think of as a lava bun. Bread is warm, inside is not too hot. Slight crunch on the bottom. Enjoyable.

Creme brulee bun: Warmed for 15min. I thought this filling would stand up the the best to heating. I was right. Crispy bottom, hot bread, Hot insides. Do this one if you like it hot.

In short: take the buns home and reheat them yourselves. These cost far too much for a subpar experience.

I know this review can come off negative but that is not my intent. I wish the best for everyone involved. Both for the customer and the store. The thing is when you expect people to pay premium prices then you need a good experience not just a good base product. Missing toppings, no birthday reward, old tasting buns etc. All of those things pile up to hurt the reputation.

Therefore, I will keep my rating at 3.5/5. But it's not all negative. There was noticeable improvement in costumer service. Seeing improvement I'll round it up to 4 stars.

Good luck everyone! Hope to visit soon.

Original review below. Tentative 3.5/5!

Barrie has a new bubble tea place! Currently in their soft opening phase my visit was plagued with what could be considered reasonable start up issues.

Cons: Opening time mishap. Posted hours say 12, Maps said 1, we got there and they said 2. Difficulty in communication when ordering. Drink I wanted was not in stock despite appearing as order-able. Still got my back up order wrong. Ordered a Oreo Brulee and got a Normal Brulee. This maybe a disadvantage of getting an XL but I felt there just wasn't enough "Stuff" to flavour the drink properly. I felt like I was just drinking milk for most of the drink.

Pros: Everything else :D After the ordeal in ordering the service was quicker then I expected. When the drink size says XL it means it. The Oolong Trio tea was quite flavourful. The toppings where nice and fresh. Tapioca was wonderfully fresh and warm. The baked goods section does look wonderful. Plastic Straws!!!

Overall: Good first experience. There is a good base here for a great experience once things get ironed out. I will come back soon to try the baked goods and hopefully finish this review with an improved rating.

Notes for anyone looking to check them out:

There is an app on play store to collect points and get rewards. (Currently as of June 26th this location cannot be ordered from) There are digital checkouts as you walk in. That should help with the commutation issues. Do not take this 3/5 as a deterrent. Go...

The drinks were incredibly delicious, refreshing, and full of flavor. So far, my favorites are the Brûlée Bobo and Mango Slush—both are must-tries! The place was spotless and had a clean, pleasant scent throughout including the washroom The restaurant’s design is modern and aesthetic, making it a comfortable and inviting space to relax. One of the staff members named Keith, was especially impressive he was very helpful, considerate, and clearly knowledgeable about the drinks he was preparing. Excellent service and a great...

Really good fruit options and tasteful matcha. The largest size is a litre (literally) and the prices are decent all things considered. The cup and straw quality is also very good. When I went the first time I loved it so much I came back three more times within the first 7 days. Definitely recommend trying a few options to find your favourite as some may not prefer the tapioca or milk tea flavour compared to other local spots. Personally love my go-to, so I am a very happy...
