Watch out for being double and tripled charged. Not sure what has happened to Customer Service when it's pointed out?! I'm in drive thru and she asked me to pay again after I had paid through the app. She was insistent that I pay. I told her if I do I will be double charged. I told her to check their system. I said this has happened to me before. In fact mentioning she was the one last time. (I paid last time and later saw I was double charged with paying someone else's order). This time she walked away from me. Now I think managers are at the window. I found them to be less defensive and rude but they were insisting transaction did not go through and that I would have to pay. I again said no and my reasons why. They asked me to prove I paid?! The customer?! That is not proper business practice at all. However, I had to show my PERSONAL bank account (to a stranger) via my phone to show and prove I paid. They were confused I was charged and their system said I wasn't. After this, I still had to pay!!!!! What would have happened if I didn't have more money to be charged a second time? Anyways by the time I got home, my account showed the 2 charges along with 1 credit charge. So transaction had finally gone through with some kind of delay in their system or someone(s) trying to use the app for malicious purposes. This was March 24. Happened again on Feb 12 when I said then I paid for someone else's order. What I'm discovering now is that same day, 2 more charges went through therefore I paid for 3 more orders along with mine. I had recently revisited McDonald's after quite some time and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. While their food has always been a sort of cathartic release for me after a long week, the negatives have outweighed the positives.
Firstly, I was dismayed by the excessive amount of salt used in their menu options. It's disheartening to see such disregard for health-conscious customers, and it greatly detracted from my enjoyment.
The drive-thru experience was far from pleasant. The staff manning the intercom were consistently rude, and half the time, they couldn't even hear my order properly. This resulted in frustration and miscommunication, leading to incorrect orders when I reached the window.
And let's not even start on their notorious broken ice cream machine... It's perplexing to witness someone walking in with a fresh ice cream cone while encountering a broken machine when going through the drive-thru. This inconsistency is beyond frustrating and reflects poorly on their commitment to quality.
Overall, my recent visit to McDonald's was disappointing. While I had hoped for a comforting indulgence, the excessive salt, rude drive-thru staff, and ongoing issues with the ice cream machine have left a negative impression. Read moreSuper disappointed. I came here a few days ago for two small McFlurries. I ordered from the kiosk, sat down and everything seemed fine until an employee approached me. He told me that they were cleaning the machine and they wouldn't be able to use it for another hour. He was very nice and is the only reason I'm not rating this McDonald's location one star. I didn't want to order anything else so I politely asked for a refund, got my money back, and left. I came back today and tried to order again from the kiosk, and it wouldn't let me pick what I wanted (the two aforementioned McFlurries), I went to another kiosk to see if it was a bug but the machine said the exact same thing. I went to the cash and waited for a couple minutes. While I was waiting, I noticed that the McFlurry machine was dripping. There was a cup catching the drippings and it was very close to overflowing, it was quickly taken care of by an employee who then afterwards came to the cash. I asked her if the McFlurry machine was working, she didn't know so she tried it and she told me it wasn't. I wished her a good day and left.
