To write now or calm down is the question…oh well!! Now it is, although I will not forget anytime soon. The only good thing tonight was the band!! I know it is St. Patty’s and all but don’t pretend to be able to serve food or beverages if you cannot even closely pull it off. 40 minutes for a drink list, food menu came right behind, another 30 minutes to order.hey, it’s busy..ok. BUT 2 3/4 hours to get a sandwich! C’Mon? We asked twice if our order was forgotten and being told it will get there when it gets there.(I did exhibit patience, it’s not their fault..right?) Not a surprise everyone has the same experience in waiting. Bad when tables clap when their food is delivered almost 3 hours in. The food was delivered, can we say ‘Stoufers’ frozen sandwich. Absolutely awful and the burger and Flatbread pizza were equally as bad; flatbread tasted microwaved and soggie. To have the waitress sigh when we asked for a glass for the can of beer, ‘ we don’t have anymore glasses’. Don’t expect a waitress to take drink orders, you are on your own to go to the bar. Hmmm…won’t catch me back there! Best of luck to those who dare to brave it, I certainly hope your experience is better! Note- I never write reviews but felt I owed it to paying customers looking for an inexpensive meal out, nobody needs to leave so disappointed in the food, service, attitudes of the staff ( although I felt for them as it was busy) oh and one table brought a pizza in from Poppa Johns next door and ate it at the bar! That’s just embarrassing for this establishment! If you do go…watch out for the mice! I know..they are at most food establishments, just a heads up. Just overall...
Read moreI recently visited Mill Cove Brew Pub, hoping for a casual night out with my girlfriend, but unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired.
The service was subpar, with the staff seeming more interested in catering to regulars than providing good service to all patrons. We ordered potato skins and a couple of beers to start. The food was just okay—lacking seasoning and nothing to write home about.
After finishing, we decided to order another round of beers and try the chicken dip. While the beers arrived reasonably quickly (though the server seemed unsure of how to use the taps), the chicken dip took an astonishing 45 minutes to arrive. By that time, we were ready to leave and opted to take it to go.
The cherry on top of this disappointing visit was spotting a rodent near the stage area, clearly scavenging leftovers from the previous night.
Despite the rebranding, this place remains the same dive bar it has always been. It feels like they’re relying more on off-track betting and VLTs to stay afloat rather than offering a quality dining experience.
If you’re looking for good food, attentive service, or a clean environment, I’d recommend...
Read moreThe food was great , no prob there but the service was dismal, worst ever. There was a good crowd as there was a trivia night going on. However there were a lot of serving staff on the floor. Unfortunately our server just somehow blocked us out. I waited and waited but went to bar for our drinks.Eventually we got the attention of another server who said she would get our server. Eventually she came over took our order for one food, it was getting so late by this time I'd lost interest. She went away and after a while we needed more drinks, well that was a lost cause, so we went to bar again. Waited ages for food, one burger and fries, dont know if it was kitchen or server. She came back, gave my husband food, went to get a knife and fork, no napkin, and went off again. We were putting on our coats when she came back to ask if we had had a bill....... Will go back at lunch time, never again in the evening. Perhaps they need a manager who can manage staff. It was an awful experience. With restaurants and bars closing all the time why would this restaurant hire such good chefs and poor...
