Not sure how dining is as we ordered online and I realise takeout containers somtimes alter the amounts... it shouldn't but I realise this may happen. Reagrdless. We ordered 2 buttered chicken, one bowl of rice and one thing of Naan and it came to 50 without adding delivery fee or tip, the price rating I would give this meal is 25 bucks max.. nothing special, not enough given portion wise or to make it worth that amount. really felt like a rip of. It also makes me sad as this is one of the best rated Indian places in my area and if this is the outcome, I won't be ordering again at all. I will say the portions from reviews served at the restaurants are deciving due to if u order threw takeout u are not getting the same thing. And many other reviews will also show that.
Edit: I called to ask about portions due to seeing website reviews all having differnt portions depending if u eat in or order. u can see on the website in store dining plates vrs home orders they are NOT THE SAME PORTIONS. They frist had to hand the phone off to 3 different people just to answer my question as they all refused to nor couldn't. Just to have the final person who would stay on the phone tell me the portions are the same as in store even tho the pictures alone, and my own meal vrs photos show evidence that is not true... they are scamming take out orders and don't care to do anything about it. Do not support unless u enjoy paying for over priced mediocre food
Also I would take into account the rare times they actually reply to try and fix issues. I seen a post about misteatment while dining and being shamed for not eating one thing on the plate after being full which the waitress scolding them for just to double down online and say how food waste is frowned upon... u can't force somone to not be full...and the way they handled that was rude and clearly they don't care about the consumers at hand or the efforts to try and help them make the proper changes they need to engage with proper...
Read moreThere was some sort of error with my order. I selected delivery, the system said it would take 50 minutes for it to be delivered, and after over an hour of waiting I called the restaurant. The person said that it would be another 5 minutes. Then the person called me back and insisted that I requested a pick-up, which I didn't. I put in my address in the online ordering system and everything, but the person insisted that I didn't. They said it would be another 15 minutes, which was annoying, but there was obviously some sort of error and while I didn't appreciate the repeated insistence that the error was my fault, I was fine with knowing the order would be delivered shortly. Well, it didn't actually arrive until about 8pm, which was an additional hour, not the 15 minutes that I was told. When the food arrived, it was incredibly spicy. I love spicy food, but even this was too much for me. My child couldn't even eat it because he said the spices burned his mouth. This is a kid who loves butter chicken and has had it from a number of other restaurants on many occasions. He could only eat the rice and naan. I've heard such great things about this place, but I'm afraid my experience was awful. We live up the hill, it shouldn't take 2 hours for us to get our food, and we should at least be able to eat it when it finally did arrive. We were super disappointed. I recognize that errors happen, but to insist that the customer is at fault isn't a great approach, then to fail in meeting your own stated timeline to deliver is just unacceptable. Not to mention making our food so spicy (when I ordered mild because we have a child!) that it wasn't edible for 2/3 of the people eating the food is poor. I wouldn't recommend using their online delivery since it clearly caused not only errors on the method of delivery, but also with respect to the spice level. I asked for mild and delivery. Their online system made it so I got hot...
Read moreAfter my last few experiences I will NEVER order from here again. I have ordered food from them many times, both eat in and take out, and they have gotten worse in a number of ways over the past few months. I first tried their food in the summer of 2020 and since then I have noticed that all of the chicken curries have a lot less chicken than they used to and just a whole lot of flavored sauce... You might be able to pick out a few small bits and then you're just eating rice with sauce on it. Also the rice portions are outrageously small. If you order a meal and rice is supposed to come with it, then you might have 2-3 mouthfuls of rice (2-3 tablespoons), and if you order and pay for a side of rice then there is just enough for one person. So lots of sauce, no meat, and basically no rice. My next issue with this place is the apparent lack of interest on the owners part of having enough staff for as busy as they are. Every time I order food and they say it will be an hour, it is always late by at least another half an hour... so make sure that you are not starving when you order. The staff are always pretty rude due to how busy, stressed out, and over worked they are... I have never seen that place not busy, and with that I would assume that the owner or manager would ensure they had enough staff. But it appears to me that there is some greed happening here and they would rather stress out their few staff in order to save on extra wages and pocket the money. To reiterate, I will NEVER order from here again because I will not support greed. The food quality/portions have decreased and during a time of high unemployment they obviously do not care to hire a few more employees to ensure...
