Update April 2023: Once again booked a private hall at Anokhi, celebrating our family’s yet another special event. This time it was our parents 50th wedding anniversary. Aman was very helpful and accommodating with our requests. Nandani was in charge for our food and drinks for the evening and she was exceptional - all the food items came on time and well presented. Thank you Nandani and all her helpers. This was a very memorable evening for our family and couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate it than Anokhi. The atmosphere was amazing, the food flavorful as always- THANKS TO THE CHEF, and great service. I would highly recommend Anokhi. Definitely recommend Aman. Above review was for April 2023 event.
Went as a family of four. We were greeted with a tall slim lady in a blue Saree - very friendly. Restaurant was not busy, but soon after got busy. We were served by Lijo Varghese, soft spoken and attentive. We are big on items cooked in clay oven. So we had tandoor prawns- amazing, lamb chops- very good, chipotle chicken - well flavoured and tasty. Overall great food, atmosphere and music. One thing that can be improved upon - the food that came to our table was Luke warm -could have been warmer. Cheers!! UPDATE: We celebrated my dad’s 70th birthday Sept 2019 (precovid) and my mom’s 70 birthday December 2021 (eased restrictions). Absolutely loved the service and info provided by Aman (manger) and her team in celebrating these milestone events. Have reserved and used both of their party halls - both rooms were clean and well prepared. They allowed us to decorate the rooms which I loved. We had preset the menu for my dad’s celebration and everything went well and the food was impeccable. For my mom’s celebration ordered alacarte and once again the food was very well presented and delicious. Everyone had a great time during both of the celebrations. Have shared our experiences with friends and family and recommended Anokhi. Will continue to visit Anokhi as our first restaurant of...

We ordered Bhalla papadi, and there were no Bhalla, when we asked the girl, she said it is crumbled and when the same dish is ordered in the other table, they get a nice platter.when I asked the server she said I will check and come back. They charged me extra for a little more onions without informing. Staff is almost invisible , you have to look for them incase you need to order something.
Horrible , I will never recommend or go again.
Google does not allow me to write you a reply, hence editing my response.
When we caved your restaurant , we never said we are Y- media. I said to the girl that I am her friend. She said "oh you are most welcome" and after we ate the food , we were given old discount coupons which were expired and you immediately took them as we made you notice it. Moreover, that girl asked completely backed out on her commitment, when I confronted her , she said if I have the recording? Excuse me! I am not here to record the calls I make to the restaurant.
Not at all people of your words, moreover, horrible customer management .
Your so called special menu yesterday said the chaat papadi includes Bhalla which we made your server read after we were given that one of the most horrible chaat. Upon asking we were first said the Bhalla is crumbled. Neither we are blind not stupid and she got us 1 bhalla in a seperate bowl and when we asked her about the other table , she said yes she only served that and will chk in the kitchen.
If you go to any hotel in the world , the snack comes with onions, and when we asked for some onions, we were given the onion platter. It is not about 5 $ , it is about how well do you communicate with ur customers. This was pure cheating. Even if you go to a small restaurant , they will inform you about the extra charges if any.
You should read ur menu again. Your drinks menu has so many discrepancies.
Thanks...

I had the misfortune of dining at the TRIP ADVISOR's 4th Best Indian restaurant in Brampton, and it was an absolute nightmare. I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy.
First and foremost, we discovered a BUG floating in our water. Yes, you read that correctly – a BUG! It's beyond comprehension how such a blatant violation of hygiene standards could occur in a restaurant that claims to be among the best. The sight of that insect ruined our appetite, and it left us feeling nauseated and disgusted.
But that's not the worst part. When we brought this issue to the attention of the manager, she chose to ignore us completely. We waited for her to come to our table and address the problem, but she never bothered to show up. It's as if our concerns were beneath her notice. The sheer arrogance and apathy displayed by the manager were shocking and inexcusable.
Feeling frustrated and ignored, we finally had to approach her ourselves. When we did, she couldn't be bothered to offer a genuine apology or any sort of reassurance. Instead, she brushed off our complaint as if it were inconsequential.
This level of disregard for customer satisfaction is utterly appalling. It's abundantly clear that this establishment cares more about its reputation than the well-being and satisfaction of its patrons. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy, let alone a friend or family member.
In conclusion, save yourself the disappointment, the risk to your health, and the rude treatment from the manager by avoiding this so-called "Indian" restaurant at all costs. There are plenty of other options in Brampton that offer both quality food and decent customer service. This place is a disgrace to the culinary scene in Brampton, and I hope they rectify their appalling...
