Pho Mi 66 — Restaurant in Brampton

On Monday January 15th/24 my daughter and I visited this place for lunch. We were there once before for bubble tea. But this time we decided to try the food.

Place was alright, service was ok, but waitress mixed up my order. I am highly allergic to pineapple. She brought me the wrong order and originally didn't want to change it.

Then when the waitress brought my food I actually ordered, I had a bite. Within 15 seconds my mouth started tingling. At first I thought was the spice. So I tried a second small bite. Soon my face started swelling up, my tongue, lips, mouth were tingling. My heart was beating very hard and fast, my throat was swelling, started seeing spots. I felt like I would soon black out. I always check the ingredients whenever I eat out, knowing about my allergies. This restaurant failed to show what was all in the dish.

I will own some of the blame as it did say to notify the server of any possible allergies. This was in the fine print on the menu they were quick to take away from you once you order. I didn't see the fine print until later. On top of that, even after my daughter told them I was having a bad allergic reaction to the hidden pineapple in the sauce. They still ordered us to pay for the food. Didn't offer to waive the fees. Didn't ask if I was ok. Didn't budge. Just kept on doing what they do. Not even an apology.

Here I am having a serious allergic reaction to what they put in the food. I can't sue them. Does say to inform them if you have any allergies. Guess that is to cover their butt. I lost 2.5 days pay due to illness after this allergy attack.

Needless to say, I will never return to this place to eat again. I also will make sure I have any relevant medication with me.

Pho Mi 66 Viet Thai Cuisine: A Flavor Fiesta That'll Make Your Taste Buds Tango!

So, we rolled up to Pho Mi 66 Viet Thai Cuisine, and let me tell you, it was like a party in our mouths and everyone was invited! The place was buzzing, and the vibe was as if we'd just stepped into a foodie's dream sequence.

We kicked things off with the Thai Chicken on Noodles, and oh boy, it was like a high-five to your senses. The noodles were so good, I'm pretty sure they had a secret life as guitar strings in a rock band. Then came the Veggie Broth and Veg noodles with Vegetables – it was like a hug in a bowl. If comfort had a flavor, this would be it.

The kiddos dove into the Rice with Chicken like little food critics, giving nods of approval between bites. I mean, if there was an Olympic event for 'most tasty chicken devoured', this dish would take home the gold.

And the staff? Top-notch! They were so nice, I was half expecting them to sit down and join us for dinner. They knew the menu like the back of their hand and served us with a smile that could light up the room.

In short, Pho Mi 66 is the place to be if you want great food that'll make you laugh with joy and servers who are so awesome, you'll want to invite them to your next family reunion. Can't wait to go back and do it...

I was excited to try this place out, as it was local and pictures appeared decent. However, upon arriving I was extremely disappointed. If I could give a lower rating I would. Had ordered the P5 (medium rare beef & stewed tripe rice noodles soup) - VERY scant on the beef. Had ordered an extra order of tripe to add to make up for that. Tried the fresh shrimp spring rolls, which were edible, but nothing extraordinary. Sadly the "fresh" garnishes were not very fresh - easily on the verge of needing to be thrown away. However the worst was the absolutely foul-smelling B28 Duck and bamboo shoot with vermicelli soup! I've never smelt anything as rotten and disappetizing as this before - completely inedible! Unfortunately, when this feedback was provided I was informed that it MUST be paid for because it was ordered. The cashier was insistent that the dish must be paid for - despite that it was not consumed. When the manager was asked for, the response was that the manager was unavailable . Between the terrible, lack of respect customer service, as well as being served the rotten smelling "food" and told it must be paid for, I would never recommend this...
