So I’m not from Brampton, after finding myself in a situation where my car turned off and I was In need of a tow, I found myself in the parking lot and behind me a “Boston pizza”, since I knew at this point I wouldn’t be able to drive I decided to drink my misery away since I was on my way to family Easter dinner and now found myself stranded in a city I barely knew in a situation I didn’t want to deal with. Shout out to the front of house I believe jalissa, and another lady whose name I didn’t get, heard me vent my frustration and kr was this touch of humanity, that is so lost amongst hospitality that already made me feel this sense of “ I got you”. I also need to shout out the exceptional bartender and servers I think Shannon Shania and Lizzie who just kept this feeling of “I got you you’re going through a bad day hey I’ve been there too”. I would be remiss if I did not mention a review of the food, u ordered a Cesar salad a bunch of wine and beer, I asked Shannon to surprise me with an app, and she got me this shrimp which looked so good I almost wanted to eat it at risk of what it would do to me, but after saying that to her, (and there was another server who was there whose name escaped me that said after knowing I can’t eat shrimp “ oh so she is really surprised then”, and then Shannon asked “are there any dietary restrictions?” And I let out this Fran drescher laugh and please understand, this banter and feeling like at a family dinner table made my heart warm and maybe I’m sensitive but I’m smiling and they helped me feel better)they gave ne an alternative, this delicious tandoori chicken which I ate because I also love the different textures of that dry noodle like think underneath it all. Holy shit I honestly did not expect it to taste that frikkin good , because honestly the Boston pizzas in Toronto don’t hold a flame to this place. I then ordered the provide pizza after some confusion that I had which was remedied completely by Shanon saying there were individually pizza options being more than a slice. I think we sometimes forget that part of our hospitality experience and service is to retain this feeling of “home” wherever that may be, I was near tears (more than ever when Shannon offered to get me a shot after asking “wait you have to get towed? Do you need a shot?) at this feeling of unity, and teamwork and family and home. Like it almost made me feel like “everything happens for A reason” and this family made me feel like I was home on Easter. Thank you so so much for the hospitality and making me feel like I was at family dinner and at home when I found myself stranded on an Easter holiday, with quality of food that may have surpassed what I would have received at my family dinner . I hope my biological family never reads this otherwise,”Lucy you might have some ‘splainin to do”. But the truth is the truth and this location has found a regular, like I will uber my ass to this place for this feeling and this food again. Thank you You should be proud of the team you are,...
Read moreHighly unprofessional and rude staff including the floor manager (Manu & Bradley) So we went to celebrate Father’s Day on June 16th 2024 and they ruined the whole experience
As per their website I had pre-purchased a gift card with 15% off. Also on their website it was mentioned, get a 2 topping pizza free with any gift card purchase. So while placing the order I asked the server - Marva if we could get that, she asked me to show her the offer which I did from their website - she acknowledged it and took the order. When we got our food including the 2 topping pizza, we had started eating the same, Manager Manu comes in and says sorry we won’t be able to consider the free pizza as it’s not showing up in the system. We asked her to take it back in that case since we wanted to order another pizza however coz this one was on offer we went with it. After 10 min of back and forth she came back saying I would consider it this time since the promotion will start in July so we wouldn’t be eligible to redeem it again - to which we agreed. Now after 5 mins another manager - Bradley comes in and says I heard you have some questions about some promotion and denies that free pizza promotion would be considered.
This all happened while we are trying to have good family time I informed Bradley that Manu ( previous manager) had taken care of it so he said she doesn’t have the authority to make that decision My question to him was- if she doesn’t have the authority- why would she commit?
I asked Bradley to call Manu- she came in and started arguing that we didn’t show the coupon - I told her that you never asked for one and additionally you guys are spoiling our Father’s Day celebration- to which she said - no we are not..
I was taken aback..
At the end Bradley came and said we will give you 10 percent discount for this and also mentioned that we are now getting 25% off which is more than regular customers since I bought the 15% off gift card already but that’s not the point - he scoffed the additional 10% His tone to offer the discount was highly offensive.
After all this I still maintained my calm and ended up paying for the pizza coz I didn’t want more drama to be created on this special day
All three of them SPOILED OUR BIG DAY..
I am highly offended by Bradley and Manu’s arrogance and rude behaviour.
I would appreciate if the owner could read this and teach foremost the mannerism and then some professionalism to such rude staff.
This experience has not just ruined our day but also made me to rethink twice before heading to Boston...
Read moreTo be honest, I am not happy with my most recent experience to BP. I have been coming to this location for YEARS and have never had any problems until they got under new management.
I was so excited to come to BP today and get something to eat for lunch. But from when I called to redeem a reward, whoever I was speaking too on the phone at the time was giving me a hard time turned me off from wanting to go there, but because I wanted to use my offer I said "why not?"
As I got to the restaurant, I wasn't expecting too see Halloween decorations all over the place which made me uncomfortable and automatically turned me off from wanting to dine in because I don't celebrate Halloween. But despite that I decided to stay and eat my food.
During my entire visit, no one at any time from management to the server asked if I was okay or if I needed anything. If I needed anything, I had to get up and go ask for it....
Afterwards I decided that I wanted some dessert from their lunch menu. I asked the price to add something on to it and the manager that I spoke too was impatient, rude, had an attitude, wasn't kind and didn't take the time too explain any questions I had for her and was talking too fast as if I am supposed to catch what she's saying. The price for what I wanted was different from the price that they were offering from the lunch menu which I didn't understand so some clarity would have been appreciated.
And then on top of that I was waiting 20 minutes for a brownie.... so overall I didn't enjoy it.
I haven't been to this location in a while and now I can see why I don't go anymore.
Sometimes you just want to be able to enjoy a nice meal out but its just as cheap you enjoy your food at home.
The only positive thing is one of the other managers was helpful towards the end and very nice. And my food tasted amazing. And I enjoyed that they now have lunch specials which is super...
