For the food , I gave 4 stars because the chaap that was ordered was good in taste.
But, for the service, if there would be an option to give less than one star I would have given that as well. Me and my family were the ones who had their name on the go if some one wanted to get a cake but not any one. We never knew that their staff is not well trained enough to talk to people and manage the rush hours, special instructions and complex situations.
I placed an order for a birthday cake and a soy chaap on Uber (C70C9 to be precise). I could understand that they would have been busy, and even though I had to wait even after 12 AM though I placed the order well in time, I did not try to make an issue of that and I calmly coordinated with restaurant and uber drive for the careful handling or order and delivery.
However, after all the caution I took, the order never arrived as expected. And, I did not receive the cake and yes birthday was ruined too!!I double checked with uber driver too before accusing the restaurant. And, tbh with the conversation I had with the first person on the call I could sense that they knew something happened with my order because the girl right away transferred the call to her manager as if she knew that they would receive the call. And, the manager over there was so rude. If something had happened, she should have admitted her mistake and firmly apologized for it. If she would have done that I would not have written this review. She was adamant on the fact they did not miss on giving the order to the driver. Like if they would have given it, I would have got that. Why would I be interested in arguing with her?? She was stressing on the fact that place a minimum order and I will send you the cake, and that was the worst part. For a person their day is already ruined, on top of that she was rude and then she want me to spend another 10$ or more for getting something for which I have already paid an hefty amount. Clearly lack of professionalism. Though I didn’t place order then and told her that I would pickup the cake from the store itself and that too I did not pick because I already had a word with uber customer service and they did a refund of my order with a professional apology unlike the restaurant staff (I have attached a photo of that too). I don’t have any intention to get any credits back or something but, I just want that those girls should learn a bit of professionalism and be empathetic to their customers. You work in customer service, you have leave your ego behind to provide a pleasant experience to...
Read moreUpdated review for Red Moon bakery: I went quite a few times initially when the new owners had still continued to make products that the original Traditional Taste bakery offered (ie. Portuguese tarts, sweet egg buns and mini dessert cakes). However, more than once I was given visibly moldy baked goods. The portuguese tarts developed mold the same day, which is questionable. The mini dessert cakes had greying, dried up and moldy fruit on top. It looked like they had been sitting there for weeks and no one bothered to discard it, let alone quality check the product before serving to a customer. Never again.
Previous review for Traditional Taste Bakery (5 stars): Top bakery in Brampton for freshly baked bread and desserts. Portuguese family run with unbeatable service. Super friendly, helpful and attentive with orders... I always inquire looking for something new to try and everything has always been fantastic! Generous selection of pastries, mini desserts, cookies and full cakes. Quality products, fresh and beautifully made! Their custard tarts are the best I've tasted... delicate texture and flavour, not overly sweet. Calabrese, sourdough and multigrain loaves are airy and soft- my faves. Try their almond, orange and vanilla bean Milk tarts.....
