Khalistan Murdabad
I recently dined at a restaurant that left a lasting impression with its creative dishes and cozy ambiance. From start to finish, the experience was enjoyable, with only minor areas for improvement.
The interior design was warm and inviting, combining natural wood tones with plenty of greenery to create a relaxing atmosphere. The lighting was just right—not too dim, not too bright—making it a perfect spot for both casual dinners and small celebrations. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing prompt service with a smile. They were also well-versed in the menu, readily offering suggestions for first-time diners.
The menu was thoughtfully curated, showcasing a variety of vegetarian and plant-based options. I began with the zucchini fritters, which were crispy, golden, and paired with a tangy herb yogurt dip that elevated the flavors. For the main course, I opted for the mushroom and truffle pasta. The earthy richness of the mushrooms combined beautifully with the creamy sauce, while the pasta was cooked to perfection. Another standout was the roasted vegetable tart with its flaky crust and vibrant medley of vegetables.
The desserts were just as impressive. The coconut and lime panna cotta was a highlight—light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. The drinks menu also offered unique options, such as a refreshing cucumber basil cooler, which paired well with the meal.
While most dishes were exceptional, there was some room for improvement. The quinoa-stuffed bell peppers, though visually appealing, lacked seasoning and needed a bit more flavor. Additionally, the restaurant was quite busy during peak hours, which slightly impacted the speed of service.
Overall, this restaurant excels in delivering a memorable vegetarian dining experience. The creative menu, quality ingredients, and thoughtful presentation make it a great choice for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. Despite minor shortcomings, the friendly service and delicious dishes make it worth a visit.
Would I return? Absolutely. The warm ambiance, standout desserts, and innovative mains are enough to bring me back for another meal. It’s a fantastic spot for anyone looking to explore inventive...
Read moreThe food was amazing. It's been a while since I've had chole-bhature this good. I've been looking for the same taste that I grew up with in Delhi, and this is the closest thing that I've tasted. We also got the lal-maas (non-vegetarian) thali. The chicken and goat curry were delicious, the meat was tender. The daal-makhani had that homemade taste (i.e. not doused in cream). The gulab jamun was soft. Great portions for a meal. The chicken naan wrap was also a hit. The lassi was how it should be. People have gotten used to the almost shake like consistency of mango lassi here. Traditionally lassi is supposed to be a light drink to accompany the meal. The sweet lassi reminded me of the beverages I've had growing up in Delhi's summers. The portions were great. Our family of four ate with gusto for approx $40 - and had some leftovers. Even I couldn't help myself and polished off most of the chole-bhature. And when the kids say, 'This is actually pretty good,' you know it's a win. The service was good - questions answered with a smile and patience. The owner also offered us a sample of the jalebi. And again - it was one of the better ones I've had. Since it wasn't made-to-order, it didn't have that crispy-chewiness of the jalebi straight out of the oil vat and dunked into the sugar syrup. Nevertheless, it tasted great with delicate touches of saffron and cardamom. The only drawback was that the establishment doesn't have a washroom. I'll be back when I'm in the neighbourhood. I'm now curious about their snack offerings. I'm very particular about my gol-gappe, and wonder if Tawa will be able to match my...
Read moreWe were so ashamed in front of our relatives. You guys just ruined my day. I was so exhausted because of you guys.
I ordered food from them for the first time for my daughter's bday party. It was the tasteless food I have ever eaten. I have attached the pictures of the Naans... all burnt... the question is... How can somebody pack all burnt Naans for the customer? Can you guys eat those Naans? There was no salt in dal makhni....Paneer was raw, hard, and looks like fake paneer. I called them and requested to send me new Naans, but they refused to do so. So I told them I'll post pictures on Google so guys could feel proud about yourself. The lady who was talking to me over the phone said "okay but we can't deliver any Naans to you." Then my mom and I made rotis for almost 20 people. Very good work to the management and rest of the team. I will keep warning people to go to your place. People who are working over there might not realize how embarrassed I was feeling when I called you to complain about your food. I just...
