Worst experience at Thai Express ever!! I frequent this chain for a pad Thai fix while on the go. Call me a creature of habit but I have always ordered beef pad Thai with extra beef. Today they burnt the dish, the noodles were charred and there was a burnt flavour ruining the meal. Also pieces of what seem to be the wok. I called the location and to my surprise the store manager Irene could care less. She said there policy was I have to bring it back to have it replaced yet I was back at work and could not. She advised I would have to keep the burnt food and return it to the store to get the replacement. To my dismay, she refused to provide me an escalation path and said if you don’t like it, just google Thai express. I asked for a store owner number or email or corporate number/email. She hung up. Walked in and had to wait until the worker finished her text message to acknowledge a customer had walked in the door. Then when she did, she wasn't friendly, cutting me off to clarify my order before I had even finished speaking. I finally got my order in and the worker went back to her cellphone, even though there was now myself and a gentleman waiting. Someone from the back then must have said something along the lines of get busy because she started the gentleman's order (not before talking back) and was crash banging her wok around to make some sort of a point. The gentleman got his order and they began making mine. The phone rings and another 2 customers walk in so my food is left to burn in the wok. Worst chain of Thai restaurants in Canada and trust me I have been to lots of Thai places all over the world. DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER ON THEIR WEBSITE. Once you place the order online and turn up at the restaurant to pickup, half of your order would be out of stock. When you ask for a refund the rude customer service will ask you to call head office and get refund. When you ask for head office number she would ask you to google it. And when you google it there is no number to call. Then she would tell you to raise a request through website. I raised refund request 4 times already and head office doesn't even bother replying. Waste of money and time. Half the order that I ate was worst Thai I had in my life. I ordered Thai curry and the take away box was 90% filled with rice and about 10% curry on top.
