Turtle Jack's Muskoka Grill Lionhead — Restaurant in Brampton

I don’t often leave reviews, but my recent visit to Turtle Jack’s absolutely deserves one – all thanks to incredible server Apple. From the moment we sat down, her energy, professionalism, and warmth stood out. She greeted us with a big smile, made us feel genuinely welcome, and was attentive without ever being intrusive. It was clear she cared about providing a great experience, not just doing a job.

She knew the menu inside and out and gave us amazing recommendations – and wow, every single dish hit the mark. The food came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The appetizers were delicious (the calamari was crisp perfection!), the mains were perfectly cooked, and the presentation was top-notch. Her timing was flawless throughout the meal – drinks were refilled before we even had to ask, and she checked in just the right amount to make sure everything was perfect.

What really made her stand out, though, was the way she made the whole experience feel personal. She took the time to engage in small conversation, remembered our names, and even made a few light-hearted jokes that had us smiling long after we left. It felt like we were being taken care of by a friend who genuinely wanted us to enjoy ourselves.

Thanks to her service, our night went from just a casual dinner to a truly memorable experience. She’s the kind of server every restaurant dreams of having – attentive, kind, knowledgeable, and completely customer-focused.

Turtle Jack’s, give this superstar some recognition – she truly represents the best of your brand. We’ll definitely be back, and we’ll be asking for her section again. Five stars...

Well this was our first time at this Turtle Jack's location and while it was a lovely restaurant, the experience wasn't equal to its appearance. In short, my husband ordered the meatloaf and on his first bite he noticed the entire inside was cold from the fridge, I could feel how cold it was just by touching it, I guess they forgot to microwave it. The server took it back immediately without issue, but my husband was so turned off, he changed to fajitas instead to ensure he would get a hot meal considering they are supposed to be served sizzling! I had the Poke Bowl which was absolutely delicious, but the portion was very small. We don't drink and found that it was like pulling teeth to get water. Firstly I asked for water with lemon, and of course the lemon wasn't brought out with our water, I had to ask 3 more times. Then, I had to wave various servers down 4 additional times to refill our water after I drank mine and my husband's because our server was no where to be seen. Then, when they brought me another glass of water, they didn't bring one for my husband or remove the empty glass(es) so we ended up with a collection of empty glasses on our table throughout our entire meal. For a higher end restaurant this experience wasn't good. Reserved table for a group of 20 for a team dinner. I'm not sure why we didn't have a dedicated waitress to look after us? We were on a schedule but had over an hour and a half to order eat and go to the next game. The restaurant wasn't busy for a Saturday. Started with a half size Ceasar salad. Took 20 mins with a reminder to get it. When it arrived it looked like they put lettuce in a bowl threw in dressing and brought it out. I had to mix the ingredients around which is always tough in a salad bowl. Then ordered the meatloaf. As soon as my fork tug in it fell apart. There was no filler to keep the meat together so I ended up eating a plate of ground beef. Mash potatoes were fine but it was luke warm which tells me it was sitting waiting to come out. I'm not sure why the waitress didn't grab the kids order at the time she took the parents but as a result the kids waited an extra 30mins to eat. As we had to leave soon most didn't eat their food. Disappointing for them and us. 2 parents handheld sandwiches were made without the ingredients shown on the menu??
