Came here for a basic simple breakfast and they delivered with good value. Food was a standard breakfast with choices of eggs, bacon, sausage, toast etc. Portions were extremely filling for the price. I couldn't finish my two pancakes along with my eggs and sausage. Next time I Would order the french toast instead as it was pretty tasty. Took covid protocols seriously. All staff wore masks and wiped down the table and chairs very thoroughly after each party leaves. Tables are spaced far apart or have high dividers in between. Customer service was out of this world. I assume all the staff are family whom ran the place with efficiency while maintaining a friendly attitude. Did rounds often to ensure you have everything you needed and provided constant coffee refills. Amelia is a soul satisfying and appetite filling breakfast place in the new west neighborhood. Nothing fancy, yet it impresses you with its humble appeal.

Amelia Restaurant is one of those places that offers very affordable and very tasty breakfasts. I went here for the first time with my partner (second time for her) and I got myself the Workman's Special, which was comprised of 3 eggs, 2 sausages, 2 bacon strips, pan fried potatoes, and toast. It was both satisfying and filling. They also serve lunch and some Chinese specials, but I haven't had the chance to try those yet. This restaurant is wholeheartedly a place which I would say is part of the community of New Westminster as the waitress is a lovely woman who remembers the faces that come by and gets to know each one of them. I recommend Amelia Restaurant to anyone to come here who loves a quiet place to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and leave with both a smile and a content belly.

I was so grateful that the staff there found room for over 10 of us. We had just played hockey and we’re really really hungry. The place was absolutely packed. Everybody seemed really happy and seemed to be really enjoying their meals. I chose an omelet that didn’t have cheese and I had asked if there was cheese, but I think there was just a bit of a complication and I didn’t get cheese. I didn’t really enjoy my meal, but everyone else at my table really really enjoyed their meals. I’m definitely going to come back and try something different. The price point is amazing, the most affordable food I’ve seen in a long time. The plates were huge. The staff was really great about making sure we had coffee and taking care of all our needs. Overall, I definitely had a great experience.

TL;DR - I will not eat here again.

Service: not existent Food: the pan-fried potatoes are bland Atmosphere: so-so, no background music

I don't recommend going there during the weekend, especially for breakfast. The food (a clubhouse sandwich and an egg Benny) came 35 minutes after ordering, while the place was half empty. The food delivery orders probably caused the wait. They should hire more people in the kitchen to handle this more professionally.

As for the food, the thinly sliced pan-fried potatoes were tasteless. They were not even salty, and the texture hinted that the restaurant doesn't use oil to fry – they tasted more like baked. I couldn't eat more than a few bites. The egg benny was supposed to be cooked medium, but it was easy. I didn't mind that too much. However, that shows the cooks there don't pay attention. The clubhouse sandwich was okay.

The worst part at Amelia is the service. Not a single word of apology or excuse was given by the staff there. If they had, this review would probably not have been written. I understand that slow service days may happen, but customer service should be...

Just went here for the first time this morning with the Husband. This will be our weekly treat from here on out. He had the "Steak and Eggs" and I had the "Amelia Burger". His steak was perfectly cooked to the medium rare requested and the potatoes had the perfect top crispyness. My Burgers patty was in house made, and it was incredible. The flavors were just spectacular, even though it looked small it wasn't. The fries were so perfect, I wanted a bucket full... But by the end of the meal I was too full to eat more, even if I had more (this coming from a 280lb hungry man). It's a quiet location, very small town feel, clean, and well put together. The customer service was awesome which is rare nowadays and you almost feel like your spoiled because of the friendly atmosphere and location. Go...
