BurgerBloc — Restaurant in British Columbia

Was excited to try a new burger place in WK other than typical fast food and I have never been so disappointed. I genuinely enjoy the restaurants that are in our area but this was so... Bad.

Our order was as follows:

2 x double beef bloc, both no tomato, 1 with extra sauce. One normal sauce. (35.23) 1 regular fry (6.49) 1 tangy fry (8.99) Total $50.71

I live 5 minutes away.

The worst part were the buns were wet, soaked. I could lift one up and could flop it around. patties on both burgers has no salt/flavour, split and uneven thickness between the two patties per burger. Mind you, regardless of sauce the buns were soaked/moist/wet (whatever you want to call it.) The bacon was really bad. I'm thinking it was "beef bacon" and not pork bacon, I ended taking it up the burger because the whole burger was sliding around, also no consistency in taste as the toppings were not evenly distributed.

In the photos you see there were a few bites taken out because we wanted to give the benefit of the doubt and I am being very honest but it was truly not editable unfortunately and ended up throwing the remainder of what was in the photos out.

The Normal fries (6.49) were pretty good. Had a crispness to them and the Tangy fries were pretty much the same with a bit of mayo on them. Did not think it was worth the price (8.99), and therefore it was underwhelming to say the least.

So I was very excited to go check out the new burger joint in west k and I went for the double burg with bloc fries. I am all for a messy burger, don't get me wrong, but it seemed like they didn't let any grease off the patties before assembling because this thing covered all ten fingers in grease and sauce before I even got my first bite and it only got sloppier from there.

The bun is thin, almost like a pancake, which can work sometimes, but it isn't strong enough to hold together the ingredients inside before falling apart.

I think the recipe is great, the patties were perfectly cooked and seasoned, but it was put together pretty poorly and I was left a little disappointed. The bloc fries I ordered came unseasoned and I think maybe the oil was a little cold because I got a soft soggy batch. I ended up having to salt them at home. I've seen others say the fries were amazing so maybe I was just unlucky with an inexperienced cook crew.

Overall, at $38 for two burgers and one large fries, I'll likely wait until I see evidence of consistency before coming back. That being said I think there's a lot of potential and I'm sad I drew a bad card for my...

We went there last night for dinner and the first thing i noticed was the prices were a bit high , but if it’s great food that’s ok . They charge $4-5 for bacon add on but it wasn’t even bacon or it as some kind of processed bacon, same with the cheese processed. The bun was too small for the burger and almost dissolved before the burger was done . Again it was $5 for the fries that were so bland tasting that we only ate like half of them and turfed the rest . Now the burger and its ingredients was delicious, not sure why they decided to put toppings on the bottom of the burger ? But it was yummy.
