PrimeTime Donair & Poutine — Restaurant in British Columbia

Tonight was the first time and the last time I’d give this place my business . I can’t even rate it on the food because I haven’t gotten to eat what I ordered yet .

But this was my experience tonight , there were 3 staff members working , and when I arrived they were already in the middle of a take out order , so one preparing food , one cooking and the other helped me ( young girl red hair ) she took my order , I had asked for my veggies to be in the side as I don’t like them to be soggy when I finally get home to eat it , she accommodated that request no problem . She then went back to the area where food is prepared and that’s where I will give her the 5 stars for how she handled herself . The one preparing the food started chastising her for what seemed like anything she could , I can’t recall exactly what it was about as I was more appalled that she did this with customers in the restaurant! Then the young girl told both of them to not do my order that she would ( which I’m glad she did ) because I had requested it to be made but veggies on the side ( which she did ) but as she goes to hand it to me the other one that was cooking takes the veggie container out of her hand and goes to open it and she asked her why it was the veggies that I requested on the side and I also said it’s exactly what I requested , but the one that took them made it seem like she had something hidden in this little to go container , like she stole something and was handing it off to me in this container , but as soon as I said something she says oh I making sure she gave you enjoy and laughs , I said it was enough and she finally hands go to me . Disgusting , in all my years that was absolutely the most degrading treatment of an employee by other staff members . I for that reason would never support that restaurant. And if that young lady gets to see this please always remember your worth , you deserve to be treated so much better , nobody deserves to be treated like that just for a pay check . I hope you find an employer that will...

I was originally quite impressed by this place and their food but after several meals I found that the owner is a cheap and lazy guy.

One evening last week I visited the downtown location and it was busy and there was several families there and the poor employee was the only person working and she didn’t have a chance to handle the job by herself so as a result, the food was awful. The donair meat was cold, the pita was soggy. The table we sat at was disgustingly dirty. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience. The owner/management had no business leaving the poor young lady alone to handle all of the work by herself.

I just called the Westside location to order some food for takeout and they told me that what I wanted was not available because the grill was already off. I called 30 minutes before their posted closing time.

Between these back to back fails I am done with this place. And if you specialize in donairs, why wouldn’t you do it properly and utilize the donair rotisserie rather than just using pre-cut meat that’s cold in the...

Very bad dining experience. My boyfriend and I decided to get dinner from here. He ended up finding a hair in his poutine. I wanted to tell the staff but he said it was fine and disregarded it. He then found ANOTHER one. The manager/owner ended up seeing this and came up to our table asking us if there was any concerns. I told him about the hair we previously found and the new one and he said he would come over to “inspect it further”. He brushed it off saying it was just a fibre from a cloth when I even said we found a previous black hair in the food. He said he would just talk to his staff making them aware of this and thanked us for our feedback?? It has to be the worst experience we have ever had. My family has owned several restaurants and I know about customer service and making sure the customer is happy. Clearly we weren’t happy with the experience and something should have been done.
