Donair Cafe — Restaurant in British Columbia

On our way to the movies, we decided to try out this new restaurant.

The food is incredibly delicious! Authentic and made with love, it is a family run restaurant. We both had the mixed platter which costs $16; their basmiti rice is so flavorful, the meats are all tender and have that crisp from being on the rotating spit and SO MUCH OF IT, the hummus is creamy, and the 4 different sauces are YUM! Tzaziki, hot sauce, garlic sauce, and a sweet sauce 😋 It also comes with Greek salad and a pita.

Honestly, we could have split one meal between the two of us.

There's nothing fancy for decor yet, but you go for the food, and this hits the spot!! We will be coming back for sure...and you should too.

We saw the size of the donair pitas and they are HUGE!

I made a Togo order I got a platter with chicken and rice and a Syrian wrap the platter was disgusting I don’t even know how you can call it rice it has no taste chicken is way to fatty and oily the salad came with no dressing I asked for a tabouli instead of Greek salad but they did not get it right pita bread is not that good and the wrap was so heavy it has way to much chicken and fries I couldn’t even eat it you can’t call it a wrap it’s not even wrapped. That’s not all the owners aren’t even Arab you can’t call it Syrian and Lebanese if you are neither I personally got offended and I’m not even Arab! It’s a disgrace to Arabic food! It was no where near worth almost $40 will never be coming...

UPDATE: 4 stars changed to 5, John is a fantastic worker who gives such good portions in my Donair, absolutely delicious and the way he makes the donairs are so careful and well thought out for. Management if you are seeing this give him props!! He’s amazing, dude needs a raise!

Delicious overall, veggies are very fresh, the sweet sauce they add in with the garlic is very very good, different from most other locations and has a richness to it which I like a lot.

The chicken and lamb are very high quality, seasoned very well and not dry at all. John packs in so much it always leaves me feeling satisfying.
