I've had good experiences here but tonight has really turned me and my family off of Kelly o's which is really unfortunate since we didn't want to go into kelowna for dinner and the first place we thought of was Kelly o's for my daughter's 39th birthday celebration. We called at 1 pm and reserved a booth for 6 pm. Nice and quick, not talking to an automated system. We ended up showing up at 530, fully expecting to have to wait to be seated. To our surprise , we were immediately sat at the worst table in the restaurant, right next to the washroom. And the worst is yet to come. Barely in our seat and the server was giving us the menus and telling us the specials. When she came back, we ordered 3 drinks, 1 Ceasar no Tabasco, 1 virgin Ceasar, regular spice, and an Iced tea. What we got was tomato juice with a green bean and a regular Ceasar with Tabasco. When we placed the drink order, I specifically said no carrots or celery for the whole table since I'm allergic, and we got into a conversation about celery salt on the rim of the glass. Also, how they don't use celery in their drinks. Instead of replacing the drinks, the server said that she made the virgin drink herself and added the spice, and the bartender made the other drink and didn't add any spice. Our whole table sampled both drinks, all we expected to just get them remade, not told that the 3 of us were wrong. The drinks were not replaced. Now it 620ish and we get our food. The only thing that was right/good was the kids chicken strips and fries. My wife's butternut ravioli was only warm in the center, everything else was cold. My schnitzel was hot and tasty laying on a bed of shredded carrots and my daughter's primerib was also on a bed of carrots. We waved the server over and showed her the problem and she immediately apologized and took the 2 plates away instead of all of them. So the kids meal was eaten and the cold ravioli was even eaten. We waited another 20-25 minutes then I found the server and told her that I wanted the bill and we were leaving. She said okay. As my wife, daughter and grandson left the manager talked to them and said that we didn't have to pay. Meanwhile I'm sitting at the table waiting for the bill. My daughter came back in the restaurant after 5 minutes and told me that we didn't have to pay, not the server, not the manager, nobody came to me to say everything was covered. The manager definitely dropped the ball on this birthday celebration, no matter what he says and his "have a good night" as my daughter and I left the restaurant, just insured that we won't be coming back even though we've had good experiences before. It definitely was not a good celebration night. Now we're sitting at home eating Wendy's since we didn't want to wait again at a...
Read moreProbably a great place for drinks and snacks but I would pass for dinner. Came with a family party of 6 on a Sunday about 5:00 pm. The place wasn’t very busy. We asked for a booth and ended up in one where the sun was in a couple of our parties eyes. Waitress came and we ordered drinks. They were out of Harps so I settled for a Kilkenny. Son in law ordered a cocktail that included raspberry and my grandson a raspberry slush. Even though they weren’t busy (staff were standing around talking to each other) the waitress came back in a while only to inform us that they were out of raspberry syrup so couldn’t make either the slush or cocktail. Switched to strawberry. Drinks finally came sans my grandson’s. After a while longer waitress came by to tell us that they screwed up the drink and it was some grapefruit mango concoction but would we accept it. One taste and my grandson asked for what he ordered, which took more time. We went ahead and placed orders. Appetizers of a Margarita flatbread that was fine and calamari that was straight from the freezer to the fryer, not good. Son in law ordered a burger for which he requested extra sauce that never came. My wife had a “steak sandwich “ that turned out to be a small sirloin on a slice of toast. Not sure where the Himalayan salt was. I had the Extreme Pachos, advertised with spicy beef and jalapeño’s. There was absolutely nothing “spicy” about it. My daughter had the chicken lettuce wrap that was average. The saving grace of the meal was dessert, both chocolate conspiracy and mud pie were delicious. All in all for a slow night with slow service and only average food this would not be my...
Read moreIt's ok, food was not as good as previous visits. Value for price is poor, very little toppings on Loaded Baked Potatoe, bun for beef dip was not fresh and fell apart to the point it couldn't all be eaten. Overall I understand prices go up with this inflation, but portions and overall experience shouldn't go down...I would expect at minimum it would stay the same. Experience was OK but not great. I was a bit thrown off that they requested ID of a child when he told the server with excitement it was his birthday. A table of 6 adults and 2 kids aren't looking for 20$ off with a lie about a kids birthday.... What a Shame if this is what it has had to come to, children don't have or carry ID!!! It won't be our first pick for next dinner out, and we used to love this place. Well after the owner's response I felt compelled to change my review. I did supply a care card but felt for a child clearly opening bday gifts, it was a silly ask! However, if enough people have ruined that with dishonesty, then it truly is a shame. You are NOT THE ONLY restaurant to offer Free bday meals FYI. Furthermore that was not the reason for my review, Like I said I was a (BIT) thrown off. The review was based on the higher prices, which I justified, but the lower service and food quality.....which I can't justify. After seeing your very unprofessional response, I have decided to edit my review and explanation. I see it is a trend reading through many other recent reviews with bad experiences. Perhaps Brad it is time to make some positive changes to improve the experience your, paying, customers aren't...
