I have to admit their food is really good, but service is just terrible. I used to go there quite a few times, their attitude just made me feel that the customers were not welcomed, and they served without any facial expressions. I always felt awkward to stay there. I went there a few times cuz the food is really nice, but all of a sudden I decided not to go there any more, cuz I don’t want to pay for the bad service experience even though I like their food. Yesterday, all of a sudden, I just missed their food, so I went there again. Nothing changes, still bad experience, which is very disappointing. I smiled, the lady (maybe the boss) had no facial expression said “ sit”, and when she served dishes, she didn’t introduce the name of the dish. Every time you asked for help, she gave you the face that she got annoyed. When i was paying, she walked away. I waited her coming back, and said thank you, she didn’t say anything still...... WORST TOP 3 restaurant services I have had in Vancouver. I’m giving this comment , that shows I will never come back to the restaurant any more cuz I already regret going there yesterday. I’m doing retail as my current job, and I know customer service is the priority in the fields like restaurant, retail, etc. And this is ABSOLUTELY NOT how they are supposed to treat their customers. They have made their customers feel shamed and embarrassed. Upsetting , if their service is not that bad, I would definitely go there so often cuz I...
Read moreBegrudgingly, I have to admit, the noodles were decent, but please read about their combative service.
I ordered takeout a few months ago, I guess there was a miscommunication while ordering.
Fast forward to the pickup, and there's one item (of the three I ordered) waiting for me. I treat it as an understandable situation thinking, "Sound was bad on Skytrain, they just didn't hear me properly." But then they start arguing with me! The item they prepared was one of the things I ordered, and I was fine with taking it & waiting for the rest of the order to be prepared. But she just kept ARGUING with me. I pointed at the menu saying, "Yes, this is great, but I ALSO want this & this." and she just kept pointing at the one thing I ordered... I know! I'm getting takeout for my family - I want more than one dish!
To this day, I don't know why she was arguing with me - I was trying to give them MORE money. I got fed up and left without taking my order. Then they called to ask why I wasn't there to pick up my order?!?!?
Sorry - I was willing to work with them with patience, but the one-sided argument was absolutely unbelievable and extremely unprofessional. I walk by there every day on my way home from work & was a regular customer, but not any more!
My only regret is that I need to give them one-star because zero is...
Read moreAte there for the first time today on my way home from work. Typically, I find the fare around major stations or hubs to be mediocre at best and of the chain variety, but not here. At first glance, the name is unassuming; reminiscent of many who have tried, yet failed, the decor is standard, Asian in influence and common as kitsch. Don’t be intimidated by the menu; it is vast yet organized, and divided by type, you must let your heart guide you from here. A glance toward the kitchen displays a chef of decorated pedigree; he is skilled and confident with surgical precision as his hands form the traditional noodles. I am in the mood for heat, so I order the chili oil sauce noodles with broccoli. The lovely woman at the counter informs me of its potent spice level; I am white, so I respect her cautious warning. Within minutes I have my dish; it’s piping hot and uniformly prepared, like grandma made it for you. From the first bite I knew I was on another level; temperature was perfect, the consistency was superb, and the texture was like silk. I traveled back, tasting through that chef what generations and centuries had passed down from one noodle master to another, I saw the end of space and time, I met god. You will never be the same after eating here, it...
