Togo Sushi — Restaurant in British Columbia

Very disappointed about their costumer service. I have been a regular client of this restaurant for a long time. Food is fine though portions aren't great. My disappointment came from the fact that they do have a functional bathroom for costumers that has an "out of service" sign in a functioning washroom. I am a known client and the lady at the counter denied access today. I explained to her that I have a medical condition and I am a steady costumer. She said she was sorry , she could not give me access because it was broken, How do I know it was not truth? I have been given access before even though there is a sign of "out of service" because some other staff do have humanity and they know I am a regular costumer. Never returning again. I am done with playing naive to people lying about bathrooms not working for costumers. So disgraceful how we have come to accept this type of lower standard. I do understand that they may get sketchy people, but you should have the intelligence to know who are your costumers unless you are so entitled that you...

Unkind, unreasonable, and rude.

I usually eat here at least once a week, but I won’t anymore. Today, I ordered myself my usual lunch with a drink and sat down to wait for my partner to arrive so we could sit together. I’ve been here many times and understand that outside food isn’t welcome, but my partner came in with a sandwich that he wasn’t intending on eating there, just to sit with me and discuss grocery lists.

When I went to the counter to grab my food, The clerk loudly said to me “HE CANT BE IN HERE. NO OUTSIDE FOOD.” To which I calmly replied “okay. That’s fine.”

when I walked back to my table I told my partner they should leave. Which they did with no issue.

I finished my meal, and when I went to dispose of my waste I told the clerk that my partner wasn’t going to eat their sandwich inside of the restaurant, to which they tried to reply that he could’ve stayed. But the way they went about ostracizing me infront of other people was rude.

Honestly, I’m sad because I (used to) frequent this place, but I’m never going to...

I’m disgusted to say the least.

Dogs are not allowed in of coarse, but my partner really needed to use the bathroom and he explained he needed to use the bathroom urgently and then he would switch with me to watch the dog so I could order/pay I’ve been coming here for over 6 years, I used to come daily spending 20$+ on my dinner. She refused and said no you need to pay now, he explained I was paying but I had the dog outside. She wasn’t helpful and was very rude and just dismissed him and said no you have to order now. Just rude customer service, not a single care to this person. Absolutely gross.

We ended up going to a ki sushi across the street, the customer service was great.
