We visited Café du Théâtre earlier this week to a mostly good experience. When we were seated, I asked for breakfast menus, but we were told breakfast stopped at 11:30am. It was 11:36am and not crowded at all. But sure, definitely past the time stated, and there were still some good options on their lunch menu. We got the Croque Madame and the Fresh Fruits Plate, and the food arrived surprisingly quickly after we placed our orders! The French Fries were the best part of both meals, super crispy and well seasoned. The bagel on the Fruits plate was the worst. It was hard and tasteless, just unpleasant. However, the fruits saved the plate as they were juicy and tasty and very sweet. At first, the waitresses felt very attentive, coming to check on us often and perfectly bilingual. However, when I was ready to pay, I sat for 15 minutes after asking for the bill. I even had enough time to stack our plates and pile everything neatly. Eventually, I walked to the front to find my waitress so that she could close out our bill and I could move on with my day, but I shouldn't have to do that. Overall, our experience was fine. The food was expensive for what you get. I'm also disappointed that I was 6 minutes too late for breakfast on a slow day.

We didn’t have reservation but we were offered a table within 5 minutes on Sunday noon. The menu didn’t have a vegan option, but I got the veggie bowl without the egg and it was delicious. Good that the cheese was on the side, I didn’t see it in the menu. My family enjoyed egg Benedict and croque madame. I also got a decaf with oat milk. I liked that the payment machine offered options for percentage or amount of tips, unlike other restaurants which don’t give you much choice.

The place is extremely loud. We had the cafe right away, the food took 45 minutes. The duck Benedict was amazing, my wife had avocado toast and the egg white was raw, and the toast was the end pice of the bread, and cold. She returned it. I ask for more cafe and the waitress served me and left, leaving my wife hanging. We laughed about it, but it was rude. The cafe is not the best, and the second one I got was warm at most. I may give the place a second chance anyway.

Typically a great place but my most recent visit left me irritated. I made a reservation and asked for a table on the terrasse or by the window. No places left on the terrasse but when I asked for a table by the window I was told “those are tables for 4 so we can’t give you one”. Firstly, the restaurant was not full and there were tables all along the window. Then 5 minutes later, they sat 2 separate parties of 2 people by the window. I was annoyed and actually quite irritated. I’m debating about returning and maybe convince my company to no longer go there. Patrons are not treated fairly and they “create” rules that clearly the staff doesn’t follow. Finally, the cherry on top… , I ordered an ice latte with coconut milk due to my severe intolerance to dairy, it did not taste like coconut milk and it was regular milk. I got so sick afterwards …. Clearly they have no problem charging me extra for coconut milk when in fact it wasn’t even that. The only good things, the food and our server. I typically don’t write bad reviews but this was the worst...

Yesterday was my second time eating brunch here. The first time, the service was slow, but I tried to be understanding. But yesterday, it took literally ONE HOUR to get our food. When the food came, half of it was cold, so I'm guessing that it was sitting in the back for a while. It's obvious that they're short-staffed or just simply disorganized.

The server was friendly enough (and very busy/overwhelmed), and the food itself was ok. The prices are fair too. But unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this place, and I won't be back. Reading other reviews, I'm not the only person that thinks the service here is bad.

Well, If you're craving brunch, I would suggest that you find another place. There are brunch places everywhere. They're all cute inside with similar menus. There are other options even within dix30.

One thing that I would suggest to the server is: if the customer has to wait 60 minutes for the (cold) food, at least bring a basket of bread or bagel or something. This is not exactly...
