Jack Saloon DIX30 — Restaurant in Brossard

We ate at Jacks in July 2022. It was our first time there. We had a reservation and were 10 min early.

The good: we were seated on time The staff was nice The ambience was cool, loved the seating outside too.

The food: my burger was a 5/10 but my wife had the fish and chips and she said it was delicious.

The bad: Waited 25 min for a waitress to actually come over to us and ask if we wanted water. We ordered right away because we already had enough time to look at the menu and it still took another 50 min for our food to come out. Not one apology or explanation...

We watched as servers passed our food around trying to figure out where it was supposed to go. Our waitress didn't check on us once in the 50 min we waited for our food.

They also left the menus in the middle of our table and forgot the utensils.

Some waiter dropped ketchup on the floor behind me and kept walking. I picked up the container myself.

The bathroom is a disaster. Puddles of stuff on the floors, no toilet paper in the stalls and its a unisex bathroom with saloon doors, so all of the drunk people were smacking each other as they tried to enter or leave the area.

There is a lot of staff in this restaurant but most of them were empty handed. One man in a suit, who looked like the manager but wasn't managing much of anything.

The top of my burger bun was hard as a rock and the fries looked like they were fried in 4 yr old oil.

Not impressed and not really motivated to...

Came here with a friend to celebrate a birthday and have dinner and drinks. We were seated at the bar as there was no other space available although it would have been nice to have been offered to be put on a waiting list for when a table opened up (one opened up literally 3 minutes later). The place was full but not packed. Felt I was sitting at the bar for a good 10 mins before even being acknowledged, which made me want to leave. (Would of been nice to be welcomed and told I will be right with you..) Finally the bartender gave us menus and we ordered drinks. We both ordered burgers and fries and an entree of "burnt ends" which tasted more like cubes of lightly cooked pork fat..laughable to think they were "burnt ends"..should prolly remove it from their menu...the burgers, while the taste was ok, they were clearly frozen patties (disappointing for a basic 21$ burger plate..the fries were ok...very seasoned but i did appreciate the mayo like dip they included. Atmosphere was good, its a nice spot. Been here before many times to drink and party and had great times. Maybe a smaller menu of fresh ground beef burgers and made fresh items would fare better and improve the ratings. Most importantly the service left alot to be desired. If i felt like my presence was valued, it might have been easier to ignore the shortcomings of the food...

Went this for company Christmas party. The food was good, although portion could've been better, especially for the entre. The entree was smoked salmon, it literally had 3 tinies pieces of salmon without anything else on it. Do NOT order that, I ate it so fast that I forgot to take pictures. I had the steak as main dish, the portions were not enormous but was big enough to be filling. Taste wise nothing amazing but not terrible either. The steak itself was well cooked, medium-rare.

Service, depends... Our waitress was rarely seen the whole night, I could not find her to order drinks, and she was the only one accepting the drink vouchers... On the other hand, the bartender was amazing!

Atmosphere was good, the club vibe was very nice, very good turnout of crowd and the music was good! One complaint, the place smelled like moldy cheese near the bar... And for the whole night, it smelled like someone was walking around dropping bombs, as we often had a whiff of fart... We suspected one of the waitress...

Overall good atmosphere for a club/bar. Would not go...
