A lovely pastry and bakery. Positives. Good variety Pastry, desserts of various types, cakes, sandwiches etc. various hot beverages and proper coffee with an excellent coffee and espresso cappuccino machine etc.
Place appears very clean and has a nice outdoor terrace though being in a mall there really isn’t a view but it’s nice to be outside if you like.
Big negatives.
1- if you accept your baked pastries and such to be squished into a bag the bag is free. BUT, if you prefer to preserve the structural integrity of your baked goods or present them as a gift perhaps, then the company will CHARGE you extra for the box. Now to be clear, the charge in slightly under $0.50, cents which is negligible- however, their pricing is not on the cheap side and actually on the higher end of the pricing spectrum. Given their pricing one should expect that like as most other pastry/bakeries do include a box without additional charge.
2- the display where the croissants are along with the chocolatine etc. I noticed many flies inside and sitting on food. I told the server about this and her reply was that there is nothing that they can do about this and that they are aware of this. I was completely shocked given the laws that exist to prevent contamination of various forms in a bakery where this area is covered to prevent this type of issue.
I venture to purchase three types of pastry and specifically selected the ones place atop of instead on the bottom area where all the bugs were gathered - my hope is that they don’t get at from the top and prefer the warmer area that the staff can’t do anything to prevent this from happening - safe haven status if you will.
As far as taste, texture, quality versus price (value), and how it fares to its completion - very average. The pastries that should normally have some “gooey” factor were just about non existent and in addition to the the cinnamon style bun/brioche lacked sufficient cinnamon “goo” as well lacked the lacing of the most desired white icing.
As for the others they too were on the border of dryness and happily to coffee aided in making it easier to consumer.
I personally would not come back again as there is simply nothing here worth noting; nothing special, nothing incredible, and service was lack lustre at best. Servers lacked personality, friendliness, care and attention that one should expect from an upper end priced pastry / bakery.
This place shows various promotions when purchasing more than one of an item as well as others, thus appearing to show discounted value. But the reality is their base pricing being at the high end only bring their discounted price to a more competitive price point as opposed to an actual real deal on the price.
I don’t know about their other items such as sandwiches but I can say that the sandwiches appears in the display and at best, mediocre as they too lacked any appearance of being appetizing and barely showed any of the ingredients inside the sandwiches.
Their prices individual portions of cakes and such were of small portions and also priced high given their size and appearance. Maybe one would argue that it’s not size it’s quality - but we all know that “size does matter”.
In short, not a place for a repeat visit or to recommend. You can have far more better experiences at many...

Leading into the closure my wife and I went here for a snack, I got nothing and my wife had a big pastry. Later that day my wife started feeling ill before even eating anything else. She then ate a late lunch, same thing everyone (five people) ate, but became increasingly illl while no one else did. She went on to have full-on food poisoning. Given the recent closure related to health concerns apparently in how bread and dough was being stored, we now in retrospect assume this was the cause of her illness given no one else fell ill that day aside from her.
EVEN NEWER UPDATE: Please bring back the ticket system. I have gone both Saturday and Sunday recently and the line both times was an absolute mess of confusion with people waiting excessively long or people getting served before others who had been there longer. Average wait time on weekend to be served can range from 5 to 10 minutes, and most often times I just leave with nothing because I get so annoyed with how disorganized it is and how long I have to wait even when no one is in front of me.
NEWEST UPDATE: Last two times I went here I waited about 10 minutes for two simple pastries. First time front staff was just really slow, even with few people there, but I got my stuff. The second time I just left as I watched three employees struggle to ring up one woman's order. The food here is great, but turnaround is a nightmare. I mean once there was three staff members chatting and laughing at the cash while I waited to be served for several minutes until someone came from the back to serve me.
NEW UPDATE: Went by this morning and there were flies buzzing around all over the food and pastries..
UPDATE: More often than not when I pass by here I leave with nothing as either the line is too long (and confusingly split) or the staff are talking amongst themselves and not serving me. The other day I waited in line, as the only person in line, and the two guys at the counter just talked to each other then left leaving me to wait there. Again, delicious food and reasonable pricing, just terrible waiting around. Passed by again recently and there was like a dozen people working yet somehow only serving a handful of people while a lineup was forming, shouting back and forth, again it wasn't worth the wait for all the confusion and busy mess happening.
This place is delicious, and the pricing is very reasonable, but the wait times are why I mark it down lower.
This place is often more busy than Google Maps displays, and most times unless I arrive around opening or closing then I am left waiting outside for several minutes or longer.
The first time I went I had to wait outside, then when I got inside the line was a very confusing system with a broken number taking system. I had to be informed after waiting a while that I could just skip over to the baked goods I wanted and have bought them and left much sooner, but it was all...
Read moreThe lady working their didn’t do anything wrong to us. However, here is what happened on that day and I would like to share.
We (my dad+me) went inside seeing that their was numbers with ticket you should get. We got the ticket with number 97. On the screen, it was showing 55. So it was obvious that they are not calling ppl considering the numbers so I went to the staff (lady) that was in front of me to order and pick some sandwiches.
There was not many customers inside. Only one behind us waiting to be served. My dad went to another station ( they have 2 stations: one with some bread and the other one for sandwiches, pizza etc) to look some bread( another staff working). Staff (let’s say staff #2) working at that station took my dad’s order (4 croissants+4 chocolatine they have on sale for $10).
Then the lady (first staff) realized that her co-worker serving my dad. She was very angry to her co-worker telling that he should be serving other customer but not my dad because my dad is also her customer.
I felt really sorry to the staff (the guy who helped my dad) because the lady seemed very angry and was not happy to her co-worker). It was very awkward...
Anyways.. this might not be happened if they called customers by numbers (as they supposed to be).
That’s it what happened. Wanted to share because I don’t feel that’s right what she did to her co-worker in front of customers.
Every bread+ sandwiches was amazing except for guedille au saumon (it was fishy).
My favourite from the store: Choquette, sandwiches with ham+cheese...
