UPDATING THIS REVIEW: I’m responding here to your reply regarding my recent Google review/experience at your DIX30 location.
Dear India Rosa Team,
Thank you for your response. I have always appreciated the unique vibe and food at your original location, which is precisely why I chose your new DIX30 location to celebrate a special occasion. However, I must admit I’m quite shocked by the tone and expectations set in your reply — particularly the notion that a customer should come behind the scenes or chase down management to express their concerns in real time.
Perhaps a few important details were overlooked in your assessment of the situation, and I’m more than happy to clarify:
Identifying the Manager: How would a customer know who the manager on duty is — especially when the only interaction was a brief visit by someone picking up an empty naan basket, after our food was nearly finished? If that was your manager, this would hardly qualify as a genuine service check-in.
Timing & Intent: Asking “all good?” when the meal is nearly over is not what I would call hospitality. If that’s considered attentive service by your standards, it might be time to revisit your training approach. A meaningful check-in happens early enough to ensure the guest’s experience can be improved if needed.
Service Quality: The server at our table neither smiled, showed interest in explaining the menu, nor returned to follow up on our meal — even though we had clearly said we’d like to order rice later. I had to point at the menu to clarify dishes, which only highlighted her lack of preparedness. To add, her visibly warmer attitude towards other non-South Asian guests did not go unnoticed. This is uncomfortable and disappointing.
My Birthday Celebration: The reason I did not raise a scene or pull aside your staff during the meal is simple — I was out celebrating my birthday. I chose not to let the subpar service ruin the moment further by confronting staff who already seemed disengaged. It’s unfair to expect guests to shift from celebration mode to problem-solving when they’re already paying for a premium dining experience.
Now coming to your point about the review being public: It’s not just my right but also my responsibility to be honest in my feedback, especially when I’ve supported your brand for years. If that truth makes you uncomfortable, perhaps it’s a moment for introspection — not defensiveness.
Lastly, I fully understand that new locations come with teething issues. But opening at a high-profile location with premium pricing demands that you be ready. Unprepared staff, uneven service, and dismissive attitudes cannot be brushed off as growing pains. If a customer should wait until you're fully ready, then perhaps the restaurant shouldn't be open to the public yet.
I hope you can receive this with the openness and humility that true hospitality requires. Your response felt more like an attempt to deflect rather than engage, and I sincerely hope that changes moving forward — for the sake of future guests and your own growth.
Best wishes your...

And calling this a “challenging tone of exchange” is another lie. Throughout the entire conversation, we’ve been polite and understanding, constantly using “could you” and “please.” There was nothing challenging about it.
If you can’t even investigate properly before replying publicly, then might as well don’t reply at all, because right now you’re just lying in public.
Also, bonus knowledge: being multicultural doesn’t mean discrimination can’t exist. And FYI, I didn’t imply anything — I was simply stating facts here, unlike you.
If you have the time to argue with me using these lies, you might as well use that time to fix your ALL wobbly tables. Even fast food restaurants would not ask their customers to eat on a shaky table from beginning to the end. From what I last recalled, you were supposed to be a “high-end restaurant.” Original content: We had a really unpleasant experience here. They put all the customers who arrived early into the dark, crowded section inside with wobbly tables. When I asked why, the staff said it was their boss’s order.
When we requested to change tables, they told us all the tables were wobbly and they had already tried to fix them but could not, and that there was nothing more they could do—yet we saw them change tables for another white couple.
I am pregnant, and when I asked if I could switch my salad for something else, the waitress very rudely said “No,” then asked, “What do you want?” I said I did not know what options there were, since pregnant women really should not eat salad. She snapped, “I know! I can only remove it. Do you want that?”
The whole experience was terrible and completely different from when we came here shortly after it opened. We will...

We chose India Rosa to celebrate my mother's birthday, and from start to finish, it went above and beyond every expectation.
