Solodko Ukrainian Bakery — Restaurant in Brow of the Hill

We had a late lunch/early dinner, so we ended up getting the Mama’s Combo and the Chicken Kiev as well as some savoury pastries. The service was prompt, friendly, and helpful. The place was clean and thoughtfully designed. On the right is a fridge full of store-made sauerkraut and pickles as well as cabbage rolls for purchase if you want to enjoy the food in the comfort of your own home.

The food was well plated. I thought the proportions and flavours were well balanced for the Mama’s combo. The acid from the pickles helped balance the richness of the chicken and mashed potatoes in the Chicken Kiev. If you’re not up for a full meal, you can grab a quick snack to go.
