Just came here again after a couple years and the food and service has gone downhill, big time.
We ordered the cheese wontons (which were actually okay), the lemongrass chicken and pho with beef balls and brisket. The lemongrass chicken was basically a butterflied chunk of tendon. The beef balls in the pho were the exact consistency as a bouncy ball and the brisket was 95% fat. Not to mention, the "shake" that was actually just ice and fruit.
When asked how the food was, because we barely ate any of it, we explained just that to our server (I think her name was Amira or something similar) and she just defensively asked what the problem was and if we wanted something else, to which we said no and asked for the bill. When the bill arrived, she just placed it on the table with no apology or any conversation for that matter other than asking how we are paying and there was nothing removed from it even though we didn't even make a dent in our meals and were not taking them with us. We told her that we were not paying $50 for food we didn't even eat to which she walked away without saying a word and returned with the bill with our meals removed, still not saying a word to us - just holding the machine out. I told her I have cash and she just walked away and never returned to our table or apologized for anything.
As a server myself, the entire experience just didn't sit well with me and I will not...
Read moreA huge menu with really delicious food! Our group had to really narrow down what we wanted to eat. We written down our order via the paper provided to us, wrote down the number and specified the size if applicable. Would come back again to try something else on the huge menu!
Food wise, we ordered the 101 Ben Thanh Special Beef Noodle Soup with all the meat varieties ordered in. Soup base was pretty good, our group also ordered Pho with the beef broth changed to Tom Yum base. We appreciated this soup base alternative as it's not very common and it was a great choice. Very well seasoned and delicious for the Tom Yum soup base! We also had the 501 Crispy Vietnamese Spring Rolls, which were really crispy and fresh. We also had to try the dim sum just to stretch the menu available to us. We ordered the Tempura Squid Tentacles. It was seasoned just right, but not as crispy as some other dim sum places we've been to. Food was pretty good overall with the extensive menu to try something new the next time we visit!
Service was pretty good! They followed pandemic protocol and had the space to provide distance to tables and groups. They also checked for ID and proof of vaccination as per recent policies as well. The staff were all pretty friendly and were very prompt and responsive as well. They can accept cash and credit...
Read moreI am changing my 5 star review from a few years ago.
We went there today and had not gone for a while. Well it was not the same. Not sure if ownership has changed but our experience was terrible.
Firstly we could not understand our waitress and she could not understand us. We wanted to ask questions about the dishes but she could not understand us. One person in our group wanted to ask about Lemongrass chicken but the waitress could not understand so he just ordered it anyways. Unfortunately it was not at all what was expected and he could not even eat it. The chicken was mushy and did not even taste like real chicken.
I ordered the meat lovers vermicelli plate which was always great but the meat was cold and grissly this time.
Chap Chae, cheese wonton and corn soup were good.
The meal was ruined since one person could not eat his dish. I tried it and it was bad!!!
We told the waitress he could not eat it and nothing was done. This ruined the meal for all of us.
The bill came to $92 for 3 of us. We could have had Mandarin buffet for less since we went for 3pm and it would have still been lunch there.
I was a regular here for years but will not go back and I suggest you spend your money elsewhere. It is not the same that...
