We were there April 8th. We had the most unattentive server. From the very minute after sitting down it took her a good 8-10 mins to even come and ask us if we want coffee or tea. Then as we were ordering our drinks she started stepping away from the table while we were still speaking to her about the water we wanted as well. She barely looked at us even once the whole time we dined there. It was obvious to us she could care less that we were there. It was our first time checking out a new place and I was looking forward to making it our regular place if all worked out. The food was excellent. The toast was great and so was the English muffin with my meal. It was buttered properly and served hot. The sausage was fantastic too. The eggs were cooked perfectly how we ordered them. But each time the server came to our table she barely let us say one word and she was stepping away again before we were done talking. The whole time she was looking somewhere else but did not look at either one of us at all. This really bugged me how a server did not even engage with us one bit. We were very happy social people. So once we got the bill, she did her thing with the handheld payment device again not looking at us at all and then took the device and walked away. My hubby was expecting a receipt. My hubby waved her back to our table and said he'd like a receipt. She looked away and said she will go get it off the printer. Well we waited for another 10 mins while she stood at the kitchen area and looked out into the restaurant. but not once did she go get the receipt we wanted. They are back and bigger than ever; the warm and loving staff of Daylight Grill has opened its door with their bright, rebranded and beautifully renovated new hot spot! Alex, Maya, Selena, Roia, Grace and others welcome you with open arms, as always. I have been a patron of this establishment for at least 18+years and could not wait to dig in to my breakfast favourites, you will have a hard time finding a better eggs Benedict!!, there is a secret sauce that Alex and staff cook to perfection! The hickory sweet bacon is crispy and a wonderful favourite side to any dish. Today I had the steak omelette. I have previously enjoyed their English breakfast, Greek dinners, banquet burgers and a few other classics like their fruit salad. Pancakes or crepes with syrup topped with fruit are some of my favourites. Whatever I order, I always know I can’t go wrong. Salmon Benedict with spinach is my wife’s favourite. Can't understate how great I always feel coming here! I've only been in a handful of times since they opened earlier this year, but the owner is always there, remembers me, and is always so warmly welcoming. Naturally, the staff follow suit. A caring and present business owner makes all the difference. I'm nowhere near their biggest spender (usually just stopping in for my favourite peanut butter smoothie and maybe a light breakfast to go), but I always feel appreciated and valued as a customer. And that definitely puts it head and shoulders above certain other larger, shiny breakfast places popular here.

Service is quick and attentive. The menu has something for everyone without being overwhelming, leaning towards modern and balanced. The decor is clean and chic; definitely asking for Insta tags.
