East Side Mario's — Restaurant in Burlington

Rahul the manager tried really hard but nothing could help the first impression of the restaurant. It smelt like dirty greasy mop water and needs a thorough cleaning (bleaching ?) Of the floor and surfaces in order to get the deep stench out.

Both tables we sat at were not cleaned nor cleaned properly with gunk stuck to table and Seats were full of crumbs not wiped down. Asked to have them rewiped with no problem but not good way to start dining experience. This was first impression paying attention to detail in cleanliness and class is not a priority at this not very canadian or Italian feeling owned location.

Bradford and woodstock east sides...on the contrary...are very different and are obviously owned by very different people and management that invest in their locations. These 2 busy popping business's are clean and crisp at these 2 locations.

Burlington east sides reminded me of the run down location at waterloo. Stench.

The salads were wilty, all of them...and had brown pieces and the pizza smelled bad/not clean/off/weird. The garden salad tomatoe and red onions were cut unedibly thick. I did mention all these things and they tried their best but knew themselves the place was riddled with shame and low vibes. They themselves knew exactly how much effort and avoidance this location was run by. It was not run in unison solidarity or in kindness. JOY FRESHNESS AND safe space were lacking. The employees looked miserable.

The sink in bathroom did not work and needed to be fixed. No sign or appology notice about it.

Could have been a lot better for everyone involved but the place is run down dirty and dead empty when came.in other than 4 other people.

Rahul as lovely as u tried to be u kept staring at me uncomfortable and seemingly uncontrollably and it was awkard andmoffputting or me. It felt like u had never seen a woman before. If I was another woman I may have a hard time telling you. Self awareness/mindfulness can go a long way...along with conscience.

I experienced you Rahul as so concerned about trying to compensate for my honest feedback it was hard to see how helpless you were to take care of what was obviously a systemic problem. I felt bad for you and uncomfortable with the service.

The clean side plates were not clean and the coffee absolutely was.awful.

The entire restaurant needs a proper clean and disinfection and should be visited by safety inspectors. The smell from the grease was almost unbearable while I ate and if I wasn't on a business trip id have walked out.

I have love eastbsides and always choose them but will not be coming back to this location for some.time. Perhaps it was an off day but that smell was old and lingered and doesnt happen over night.

Rahul you get 10/10 for effort. And a gentle smile.

I would give this location a zero if I could! I am soooooo very upset it was my daughter’s birthday and she wanted to go to east sides! We drove from Grimsby to go to this location! We made reservations the day before. We sat down I had to ask for drinks like 25 mins after she gives us cups that were stacked so we had to grab them our self and the water jug had a hole in it so water was going everywhere, then I had to asks her for menus. That took forever she never once came to ask if we need refills we had to keep asking her and for bread , She takes my order then comes back and says we don’t hAve broccoli so I order chicken parm with pasta with sausages, peppers, onions they bring my food out my pasta has nothing that I asked for in it. Then bring my husbands pizza they made that wrong put all my pasta toppings on his pizza both of our food went back, they brought my back again and it still was wrong!!!!! It was insane !!!! They forgot my moms dinner he came out and said they dropped it on the floor and had to make it new it would be out in a few mins 25mins later , none of us got to eat together they just constantly kept mess up!!!!! When we came in we told her how the bill was gonna be all of us were separate and this guy come and gives us our bill with everything on it they couldn’t understand it he had to ask three times!!!!!! I just can’t get over how horrible experience! There was so much more that went wrong.The manger just rude needs to know how to talk to people with out ignoring them! That’s all he kept doing! I manger a store I would never act the way he did or let service get so out of control! You guys ruined my daughters birthday dinner! I couldn’t even eat my food because of how mess up everything went I have NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS and we like to go out for dinner! I would really love to be able to speak wit an owner so you could be aware of the service we had and how rude the manger was and just ignoring us every time we had something too say or just Smirk at us!!!! Forgot to mention this one!!!! My father Inlaw ordered a beer and he was sitting on the other side of the table and she put the beer in front of my 3 year old child!!!!!!! The whole table was...

I hate leaving bad reviews but I took my family here a few days ago and had a terrible experience, I thought I would wait a few days to calm down before leaving a review but I am still upset. We were really upset and left there feeling robbed of the money spent. The restaurant was busy that evening but not packed and the problems started immediately. The positives were the bread kept getting dropped off frequently and the server was nice. First big issue when my daughter's tried to order the sliders from the kids menu we were told they have no ketchup(waitress informed us it was recalled, in which we couldn't find a recall anywhere). So no ketchup not the end of the world. So when asking for cheese on the burger we were informed they have no cheddar so it would have to mozzarella. Ok annoying but oh well. So we ordered the rest of our food and I went to Dennigers quickly to get ketchup(sad that I had to do that to bring ketchup to a restaurant). When our flat bread Bruschetta showed up it had basically no Bruschetta on it. We tried it anyway and it was bland at which point we had noticed our serving plates were dirty(Grossly dirty). So we asked for new ones and I asked why the Bruschetta basically had none on it and the waitress informed me its more of a flat bread pizza(I would have been happy if she offered to resolve it, maybe bringing out bruschetta to put on it, instead she just took it away and made no effort to fix the problem, I clearly wanted the bruschetta). When dinner arrived my wife's did not come out at the same time. So my dinner was cold by the time her dinner showed up. My pasta was flavorless and I have honestly had better tasting frozen pastas. My wife started to eat hers and found her bowl was dirty and not cleaned properly. So understandably she lost her appetite. I strongly recommend not going to Eastside Mario's or if you do try visiting another location, this one has no standards. For the $120 meal for 5 we could have easily eaten better pizza elsewhere 2 or 3 times for the same price. I work hard for my money and I feel this place stole it from me in exchange for poor quality food...
