Meltwich — Restaurant in Burlington

I have come to this spot many many times as I love their spicy Nashville chicken poutine, and they are often open late; meaning that I can go after work. However, I can no long support this business due to the ongoing terrible service that I have received.

Firstly, I have had up to 30 minute waits for my group to receive our food.

Secondly, after having always received cutlery with our meals. One day we did not, and not expecting this we had brought our food on the go train to eat during our 40 minute ride. We could not eat until we arrived in Toronto.

Thirdly, I have had two instances where I was given the wrong food. The first instance I was charged for a Spicy Nashville Chicken Poutine (on the receipt) and given a spicy Nashville chicken burger. I accepted my fate and ate the burger. The second time, I ordered the same poutine as before, but was given a steak poutine, (I don’t eat beef due to its negative effect on climate change), and upon asking for a refund was denied.

Lastly, one time my friend ordered the Philly cheese steak and vomited all over my car due to how greasy it was.

I am mostly disappointed with the fact that after supporting this business for so long, (and dealing with poor service), I was refused a refund on a single $17 item.

P.S You know the service is going to be bad when there is a sign saying, “If you do not receive a receipt, your meal is free”....

This place should only offer grilled cheese and soups. Everything else should be left off the menu. We were excited to try this place. Menu looked great, but left completely disappointed. Overpriced. Tastes like frozen out of a box. Service was unwelcoming and slow. We were the only customers in the restaurant. There were 5 of us. Food was 30min to table and was lukewarm when it arrived. Grilled cheese was good. Poutine was ok. Burgers were blah. Lacking flavour and kinda like cardboard. Mcdonads might have been better and much cheaper. Stale buns all around. Worst was the philly sandwich my husband had. It was tiny almost like a slider. But he was up all night sick . Not sure if it was from the meat being undercooked or maybe it was bad? this was a first for me.. came here for the first time with three of us, we got 2 sandwiches and some chicken strips for take out. walking in i noticed right away how dirty the floor was but gave them the benefit of the doubt, went into the bathroom and sure enough it was very dirty especially for a food establishment. we got our food, i opened up my box to see small hair like pieces all in the box with my sandwich, about 6 or 7 pieces. i turned on my flashlight to get a closer look and they were moving. it looked like a larvae of some sort. absolutely disgusting. it wasn’t just in my sandwich but it the other one as well. we brought the food back in and got a refund. i’m not sure if maybe the grill was dirty or what but for me to pay nearly $20 for one sandwich it’s not going to have worms or even hair of any kind in it. will not...
