Nothing Bundt Cakes — Restaurant in Burlington

Update, 1 year later and the same inedible cakes. So soggy, broken apart, garbage!

We have gone here regularily since it opened and never had any issues, until now. We picked up 4 cakes on Tuesday and they were all horrible, all 3 flazours were bad. The cakes were not light, airy and moist like usual. They were very dense, very wet, yes I said wet, and there were pockets of raw uncooked batter. I'm not sure how 3 different kinds of cake were all bad.

The actual flavours of the cake were good, but texture and bake were really bad. You can see in the photo below how the lemon blueberry cake was so wet that it was falling apart.

I took the photos to show how they cakes appearance was sub par and how they have hoped on the "shrinkflation" bandwagon. The icing on the churro cake was practically non- existent. The icing lines were notacibly thinner, and they did not go all the way down the cake.

It was a very disappointing experience, especially so, because it was my birthday.

I would hope this was just a fluke, but it was so bad, I think it will be a long time before we go back.

Received a 3 pk for Mother's Day 2021. Coming from a family that owns/works retail, my daughter had it delivered Friday afternoon to alleviate a modicum of their stress on such a busy day. I have spent over 25 years working in various bakeries (chain and small business both) and I know desserts, so I know good stuff when I find it. THIS IS GOOD STUFF! 2 were inhaled almost immediately (white chocolate raspberry and carrot) by my husband and myself and the third (red velvet) I saved as a Sunday night treat. It was as moist and delicious as if it were same day. (Sign of good quality ingredients). I usually don't enjoy red velvet as it can be too dry for my enjoyment. This one was AMAZING 👏👏 The amount of icing on top was perfect presentation and then you find that extra little in the center! 9.99 out of 10 only because I had a difficult time licking the inside of the container 😛 Good job...

I pre-ordered a birthday cake 2 days in advance to be picked up on a Saturday at 5pm which also happens to be the closing time of the store. I showed up five minutes before 5pm and no one answered the door and none of my phone calls were answered. This cake was pre-paid and was for a party later that day. The pick-up time coinciding with their closing time is super unorganized and very frustrating. I waited until 5:45 before leaving and only got through to someone the next morning. The owner explained that the reason I didn't get through to someone was because the store had closed. Although, I showed up at my designated time for pick-up and the owner basically put the blame on me and was hardly apologetic before simply offering a refund. They need to update their last pick-up time slot to 30 minutes before closing time so this does not happen to someone else. Unorganized and...
