Freshslice Pizza — Restaurant in Burnaby

I have to give a one star to send the message - despite a current '4.9' rating, the pizza I ordered from here was definitely way below par. If you want a much better pizza order from Jag's - more toppings, better crust, simply better taste overall, and not a corporate franchise either, so even in terms of community everything is superior at Jag's just down the street.

I got a classic green peppers, mushrooms, salami sort of pizza. It tastes mostly like soft bread with a bit of sauce. The meat seems like enough to make half a pizza, but dispersed across an entire large there seem to be many bites with virtually zero meat. The veggie toppings are a bit better but also rather spare and certainly not enough to compensate. Like I said this pizza is more the 'idea' of a pizza rather than something than could satisfy or sustain a person, it's mostly lonely sauce. I can't imagine the 'chef' preparing a pizza for himself like this at home.

Given the weird softness of the crust, I am inclined to just pick up a pre-made crust myself next time and do the meat, cheese, and veggies properly - to make a tasty satisfying pizza, not to scrimp and chince out. Receiving this pizza for top dollar from a corporate pizza place proves what I should have known by definition - this exchange was about maximizing profit extraction, not about taking pride in providing great food value. Shame on...

Great New Spot for Pizza Lovers! Just tried the new Fresh Slice pizza location that recently opened, and I was genuinely impressed! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly and welcoming staff who made the whole experience even better.

The store was spotless, the place is very clean and inviting. The cozy environment made it a perfect spot to relax, whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or just to chill with friends.

Absolutely delicious pizza! Fresh ingredients, perfectly baked crust, and generous toppings. You can tell everything is made with care.
