Been here a few times in my life so far. Sometimes, the service is fine and the food is fine... sometimes they forget items or receipts.
One time the lady got aggressive when I asked for extra ketchup and told her that last time, there was no ketchup; she screamed at me saying, "THAT WAS NOT ME!!!!" I never said it was her, I knew it was someone else, but I didn't mean to awkwardly put blame on this innocent McDonald's worker. That was not my intention.
I've heard of some people have incidents of the lids not being correctly on their drink and they end up pouring their drink on themselves, their children, their pets or their vehicle... this has never happened to me.
But what has happened to me, is the little hole on the coffee cup that allows air to enter into the cup (so when you drink, the coffee comes out perfectly smoothly), sometimes this hole is near non-existent. I know this is not an issue with the particular McDonald's, but more of a manufacturing default... but it's worth mentioning. Of course you have to option to use a safety pin to make the hole bigger and therefore the coffee experience smoother. Alternatively, if you do not have a safety pin on hand, you can simply use your keys. If you don't have keys, then I suggest don't drink coffee because you're probably too young.
During my experience today, I ordered a side of Mac Sauce and paid the mandatory $0.23 charge and they gave me an extra side of Mac Sauce for free. However, they did forget the fries... so I had no use for the Mac Sauce. I called in and spoke to a wonderful young man who fixed this problem for me by saying he would replace my fries during my next visit. I will further expand on my review when this happens, because maybe the workers will get mad at me for getting free stuff, or maybe they'll be very sympathetic of the trauma they put me through the first time, by taunting me with extra Mac Sauce and no fries.
I always visit the drive thru when I'm at this location, but I was reading on the computer that they recently went under some renovations! How exciting! I intend to go inside and check it out for myself, as from the pictures online, it looks super futuristic like a Star Wars movie. The bathrooms are the best part, because they now have a clean appearance (although I doubt they actually are clean).
They have new self-ordering terminals, which I cannot wait to use. I feel guilty about wanting to use this futuristic feature, because they probably let some employees go now, because we simply don't need human order-takers. Hopefully the employees they fired are not full-time adults, but just acne-prone 15 year olds. They don't have bills to pay usually.
I will end my review on one last note. The parking lot is free of grafitti, which is shocking because kids these days just scribble on everything. They must care a lot about the appearance from both the outside and the inside.
These positive and negative experiences are why this location specifically is rated 3 stars. Thank you for reading and have...
Read moreNormally this location had been my favorite McDonalds location, but recently the service has been third class. You place your order with the staff inside at the order line, they take the order & give you your receipt with your order #. You're waiting, & waiting, & waiting. Then your order number is called. As you go up to get your order you realize everything wrong has been placed in your tray. You pull out your receipt to show the staff that what you ordered is not what is being given to you. You stop in your tracks, realizing that what you thought you ordered & what you read on the receipt are two different orders. You ask for the Manager, after waiting the Manager appears, apologies for the mistake & sets out to fix the order by charging you more, than asks you to waite a few more minutes as they fix the order. Example: "I ordered a double Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal, with Med Coffee" What I got was a single Quarter Pounder meal with a Large Coffee. In order to fix the order I was charged another $1.58 for the second patty, but no second peace of cheese was added. The Coffee remained the same , the fries remained the same, only thing replaced was the same single Quarter Pounder with Cheese was taken to the assembly table & the Manager stood there near the prep section holding my single Quarter Pounder burger box open & waiting for the prep order staff to make the second patty for my burger. As I got the food it was cold, the second patty was over seasoned, the cheese looked grouse cold & totally stuck to the single patty. My coffee was less than Luke warm. I mentioned this to the manager, making a special effort to ask her that when she orders her food at a fast food joint, what does she expect from the pick up window or from the inside of the fast food place? "She replied me with, Hot, juicy, & tasty food, since she is paying for that". Well folks with that reply that was the end of our conversation, no refund, no attempt to say sorry hears a note that your next order is on us, Or here Ma'am, I am refunding you the full money that you paid, & please accept my sincere apology for such unacceptable service!!! I'll have to think next time when my mother wants McDonalds, it'll have to be some other location rather than our neighbour...
Read morethis review as long as hell but its a decent read Let me begin by saying i usually only review an establishment if it is exceedingly good or bad enough that i feel the primal urge to make my discontent known. This falls under the latter. After waiting in the drive through and making an order with a friend, we arrive at the til. With a swipe at the first window a kid sticks the credit machine through for a tap, upon completion is a telltale "payment failed" sound. It is mentioned by us but ignored, fine, why argue. We arrive at the second window only to be blindsided by an irritated woman un-consensually forcing a coffee we didn't order into the car. After politely declining, the coffee is put on a counter and subsequently forced into our car again by another employee. This continues until the whole front end has had their go. Feeling violated by forceful entry we repeat the order to the manager who rings it through and charges us again, it works this time. After waiting for probably 10 minutes our food arrives. immediately we notice the ice cream has been botched and we ask them to replace it with the correct order. 5 more minutes slowly pass, the drive through line has now grown to contain the population of kamloops and we finally receive our orders once again, and they are even more wrong. at this point we were basically told to pound sand and get out of line so we drove home. here is the order in comparison to what we got after 20 minutes in a drive through and 2 re orders.
order: regular m&m mcflurry, snack Oreo mcfluury, 2 mcdoubles add bacon, 2 hashbrowns and a large coke
what we got: snack oreo mcfluury, snack skor mcflurry, 2 mcdoubles no bacon and a large nestea.
While the restaurant is effectively run by child slave labor i would have expected a higher standard of work even if lobotomy was a mandatory prerequisite at the...
