I'd driven past Nana's Bakery many times and heard good things about it so when I saw it on the Too Good To Go app, I decided to give them a try. The bag was filled mostly with savoury goods in it but we did get one baked good that seemed to be more of a dessert. When I picked it up, I inquired about whether there was any meat in any of the foods. The lady was kind enough to switch some of the foods for me so that it was all Vegetarian food in the bag. To be honest, we weren't crazy about every single item in our bag. For the price we paid though, I think it was still very good value and we did find at least two items in the bag that we very much enjoyed. So would I go back to Nana's Bakery? Absolutely! There was some kind of savoury pastry that had a potato filling in it. Loved that. Also, there was some kind of spiral pastry with cheese in it. Loved that as well. I was very happy that the lady was willing to switch the foods for me so that it was Vegetarian, so…top marks for customer service!

This family owned Balkan stile Bakery offers amazing food that reminds me of home. Everything in bakery is daily freshly made. They have so many different stuffed pastry (pita-burek) They also have home made meals (gulaš, stuffed papers, ćufte, sarma, pasulj...) along with grilled meat (ćevapi, kobasice aka sudzukice i pljeskavice) You can also get raw ćevape, or raw pljeskavie that you can grill it at home. Home made Baklava is one of the best I ever had. They also made Urmasice, Krempita (vanilla custard) mixed cookies for your sweet tooth. Don't forget to check their grocery department while you are there. Everything is super affordable. You can find so much more than you can even imagine in a Bakery, grocery store. Also they have a Turkish coffee, pickled vegetables, chocolates, spices, caned fish. Plazma, vegeta, medeno srce, bananice all imported from Europe. Looking forward coming back.

We've ordered from them quite a few times on Uber eats. The food here is good but they have reduced the portion size and also raised the price. I don’t mind the raised price as inflation is making things difficult, but I don’t appreciate the decrease in portion at the same time accompanying a price raise. Before we consistently got 7 cevapi sausages and now it’s only 5 and with a higher price tag. For 5 small sausages and a piece of bread, it’s not really worth 15 bucks. We haven’t ordered from here in a while now as it’s no longer a affordable meal we can order casually. This went from a 5 star review to a 3 star. The food is wonderful but not worth the Uber inflated price for a few pieces of meat and a piece of bread. I suggest not ordering on Uber.

One of the best cevapi and burek ever tasted. They been making these for so long yet so yummy each time you get them. Love that they are open very early in the morning, which is rather convenient if someone wants to do an early morning run and avoid all or any Burnaby traffic. Overall no complaints. You'd be very happy with the product and the service.

                • Latest Review - - - - - - - - Nana's is consistent. Been consuming their Cevapi for a couple of years now and I would say they are as good as the first time I tried. They are warm, juicy and full of flavour. Alas as warm as the Cevapi's are, Nana's ladies are just as cold. They so cold, Russia wants to move their jails from Siberia to Nana's. They so cold, penguins be leaving Antarctica and setting up a permanent encampment at Nana's door step. They so cold, Alaska is considering changing it's name to Nanas. I am not sure what it is, I have had the pleasure of picking up the orders myself the last two times, and I can't figure out what I did or what I should have done to not earn a stern sentence or two. The ladies are not helpful and it almost feels like I am missing the magic word. That being said, go for the food and not the smiles, kindness or...

European style, not the extra sugar and pereservatives you find in the Vancouver food market. Well made pie and pastry, as it is not a large scale type of facility. Polite staff. At the front counter it appear typical to the Eastern-European food stores, but they have a large cooking area at the back that looks much cleaner than many places I visited, I see that because for some years I look behind the curtains and I see soiled aprons and walls and countertops on many places I visited. A large slice of pie is not cheap but I can't eat it all at once, to me it is worth the price over any fast food menu. Blueberries small pies are delicious, and are made with real blueberries, the filling is not like the stuff from the regular stores where they use gelatine and few berries floating in it.

They also sell Polish sweets and saussiges and sweet drinks. Check out their menu on their website, I never did but the screen in the store shows that info as well. I buy from this small store because I do support the local community where the small profit is helping their families and not the industrial food manufacturers and are in the business...

Will not return. Shockingly rude service. I came in here a while ago, on my bike, since it is off the bike route. It was convenient and food was ok. Returned recently, along with friends. I tried to look at the menu posted on a rear wall. Since I'm not familiar with this type of Eastern European food, I tried to ask the worker more about what was available and more about the food. She was beyond rude. Apparently, I was standing next to the counter, so I could see her, while I asked her questions about the food and menu. She shouted for me to go stand in front of the counter before she would give me any information, stating, "You're making me uncomfortable." It was so bizarre, I would have left without ordering, but did not want to put out my friends. Discussing with my partner later about this incident, it felt like racist behaviour to me (I'm non-white man). My partner was more generous and said "maybe she is just uncomfortable with men." Still left a very negative feeling and impact. Too bad because it does seem like an interesting place, with food and eastern...
