Panago Pizza — Restaurant in Burnaby

First off, I have been a veteran customer of Panago. It has been my favourite pizza chain despite the expensive prices. I have been ordering ever since the early years of business expansion; back when the stores still served seafood pizza. Recently ordering from their location from Middlegate, Burnaby, I had a very unpleasant experience. I made an order of two pizzas (1 Chipotle Chicken, and one Meats Pizza). As expected, the Chipotle Chicken was good as always. Unfortunately, the all meat flavour was a disaster. After taken a bite of my second slice, I bit into something sharp that scratched my throat. To my discovery, there was a sharp fingernail-like object clogging my throat. To make matters worse, I had trouble coughing and breathing when the unknown object was stuck in my throat. I know Panago quality has always been up to par and this is my first time stumbling upon such a situation. It was really disgusting and I definitely would not order from this location anymore. You are better off ordering from the Collingwood location beside Safeway. They have much better food quality...

My review is not for this location , but for the call center. I have been ordering pizza the same way for many years. We like it when the cheese is more white than brown, so we ask for lightly baked. That way it is not a burnt tasting cheese. So I ordered and said twice it is very important to be lightly baked. No response or no "we cant do that" They send it overcooked crust almost black. The call center Brandon, says they are not allowed to do that. He has been there 7 years and never have allowed that. I have been ordering Panago for over 30 years . Why did the first call taker not tell me Very disappointed I will never order a Panago pizza from this call...

I have been ordering from this place for over 15 years. The last few month I have ordered pizza I have noticed it's not the same. Today I order the same cheese bread the cheese was running everywhere not cooked or browned. The pizza had tons of bbq sauce and hardly any cheese on it. The cheese was not even browned and and the topping falling everywhere and topping not cooked enough it was undercooked. If the new owners don’t get their act together, nobody will be ordering from them. They will all move to the new west location.
