TLDR Pizza Garden is running a scam with their 25% off promotion through the app in order to gain business. Order at your own risk! Reviews are often written when service has been excellent or awful. Unfortunately, this review is for the latter, for the entire Pizza Garden chain.
Pizza Garden has a promotion on their website where you get 25% off your first purchase on the app. After placing my order using the code I was sent and seeing a preview of the amount owed, I headed to the store for pickup.
Upon arrival, I was told to pay for the full amount as there was no discount code. Interestingly, when I went to check on the app, the app also removed the discount from my "order history". I asked if the store would be able to use the code and apply it to the order as that was the amount I agreed to pay at checkout. I was told, "The order came from headquarters and there is nothing we can do to change it. You need to pay the full amount and contact headquarters to get a refund." I had a bad feeling about it and should have trusted my gut.
I emailed Pizza Garden twice, before they responded to me a week later. To be honest, this felt like a major scam for how the events unfolded: Dec 6: Pizza Garden asks me what code I used and invoice details Sent them the code and the invoice on the app, notifying them I did not take a screenshot of the price on the app screen when I ordered because I did not anticipate this problem Pizza Garden disregards the issue of the refund and app error and replies with: "Great news! Your coupon is valid for another order!" Sent a reply to remind them that the issue at hand was the refund as I was told by the store this was the process. If I had known the coupon would not work, I would have purchased food elsewhere that day Dec 8: Pizza Garden tells me "Rest assured, I am committed to resolving this matter and will get back to you promptly with updates." Pizza garden has ghosted me since Dec 8 after multiple...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery disappointing experience. I spent over $120 on pizza, and when I simply asked for one small sauce, they charged extra ā just for a tiny 2 oz cup. That sauce costs them next to nothing, but they still felt the need to charge more after such a big order.
Itās not about the money ā itās about the principle. When customers spend a lot, the least you can do is include a small dipping sauce. Instead, they choose to nickel and dime their customers, and thatās how you lose people.
On top of that, the customer service was terrible. While I was standing there waiting, they kept answering the phone and dealing with other things instead of finishing with me first. When you have a customer in front of you, that should be your priority ā not ignoring them to take phone calls or act busy. This kind of treatment shows a lack of respect for customers.
The pizza was nothing special either ā certainly not worth the price. Sadly, I wonāt be coming back, and I wouldnāt recommend...
