There is a very rude girl working the drive through window almost every morning. I thought the first few times were perhaps a case of her just having a bad morning but it's gotten to the point now that she is now a deterrent at the restaurant. I prefer not to be treated like my order is annoying the person who is suppose to be providing customer service. I am well mannered and friendly every time, no reason the staff can't be too. It's your job. When someone says please and thank you, the correct response is not a SIGH and "okay" very rude. Asking for some salt in pepper in the bag is not asking for much. Sorry for coming to your store and ordering breakfast.. For this reason alone I will not return to this restaurant. Lose the poor attitude girl and my co-workers and I might return. EDIT:
I am updating my review - 10/25/2018. The girl who was incredibly rude no longer works here, they have a fresh new group of staff who are very attentive and polite. I am upgrading my review from 1 star to 3. I don't frequent this restaurant but I'd say the last few times I have gone for a quick tea, they had a sign that said cash only. I choose A&W for my tea as they are much quicker than Tim Hortons or McDonalds but it's not convenient when you do not have change. Read moreWent there a Tuesday night and spent $71 for family of 5. We went inside the store to order and waited a good 25 minutes for our food. While they were making the food I heard the one girl ask the other girl how many wraps we ordered...the cashier said 2... the other girl said but you charged her for 4. The cashier shrugged her shoulders and said who cares (this whole conversation was in Punjabi... I don't think they realized that I understood what they were saying). When I finally received my food, I asked for the bill. Than I told the girl that i understood what they were saying that she overcharged me. The cashier laughed out loud and than opened the till and gave me $5.00 (this didn't even cover the wraps). The onion rings were falling apart and were two big balls of onions and the fries were stail. I did email that head office and was told that I could get a full refund...which i plan on doing. However I will never return to this place again. The fact that the staff new that they overcharged me and thought it was okay when they could have refunded me while I was waiting is so dishonest. Update, went in on Feb 28th to get my full refund. I was told that they made a mistake and couldn't give me a refund. I then said when they were not removed I report stuff like this . Nothing yet so... Camera and start complaint by phone. Hurray they removed the disgusting cutlery.
I enjoy the food but dirty cutlery reflects the overall enjoyment and left me questioning overall cleanliness.
I have great hopes for A&W so I write this in the hope that you use my observations as meant . Please point out to staff that many things make up restaurant enjoyment . I'll look at same thing next time I'm in . Second but not third chances. Just started my coffee , the question how do you like was answered 4 milk . It came with sugar , I'm diabetic .
