Me and my boyfriend decided to order takeout tonight. 2 x Boneless wings $17 each 2 x Add chili onion fries $7 each We call and place the order, asked if we could do 2 sauces each but she said there’s a surcharge so we opted out. At the end she says it’ll be $61 I realized the price wasn’t right but figured in person it would be. We were never told how long it would take to make our order but most places say anywhere between 15-25 minutes… 45 minutes later we show up, they say our food isn’t ready. We waited another 10 minutes or so. Then she rings us up and again we’re told it’s $61 so my boyfriend asks why? She says when she punches in the boneless wings it’s showing at $20 and we show her it’s $17 on their menu, she says she will go ask her manager. She comes back and says the reason it’s that much is because the chili onion fries is only $7 if you’re substituting the fries for it…. But the wings don’t come with fries, fries is $3 to add so that’s why we got charged $20…. I say that makes no sense because the menu doesn’t say that at all. Eventually the manager comes and resolves it BUT LISTEN TO THIS - the manager blames his employee saying she’s new. I’m sorry but that makes zero sense. YOUR system has the boneless wings priced at $20 so therefore anyone going in to get them is being charged that price instead of $17 and they don’t come with fries….. anyways the new employee has no say over how items are programmed in the system so clearly it’s a manager/admin error. They end up saying to wait and they will give us the $$ back which should’ve been $6.78 with tax - they only brought $6 - obviously that’s fine, who cares about 78 cents but it’s the principle that counts. On top of that we get home and look at my wings. Basically look like dry wings so I’m glad we didn’t pay for extra sauce when clearly they hardly put any sauce to begin with. As well, I’d recommend NOT wasting your money on the chili onion fries since you can see from the photo … there’s again hardly any sauce, whatever sauce was on it seemed to be plain sour cream, and we paid $4 extra instead of getting a regular fries just to have large pieces of onions and green chilies on the fries….. that all fall down to the bottom of the container as you eat lol.

Read moreCame here for dinner last night with my elderly parents and two tweens. We ordered crispy chicken tacos with fries, Cajun chicken alfredo pasta, the steak and lobster tail, the seafood special (salmon, shrimp, and a lobster tail), and the seafood pasta (with shrimp, scallops, mussels, squid, and a lobster tail). I was concerned that the lobster tails would be really small and dried out (like the cheap, frozen ones that some places microwave and serve). Also skeptical about the quality of the steak, since the prices for the mains were really reasonable.
The food was delicious! Not overly salted, adequately seasoned, big portions (I had to have my seafood pasta packaged up to go). The pastas came with two pieces of garlic toast. My son told me that his fries were nicely seasoned and crispy. The lobster tails were so tasty and a nice size. The steak was tender and not full of gristle like at some other places. The only strange thing was that the seafood special came with plain white rice (we were expecting seasoned rice).
We were too full for dessert, but my kids wanted to get a couple of desserts to share: we ordered the molten chocolate cake and the carrot cheesecake. Both were pricey at $12 and $13. I was expecting the portions to be a bit larger, but they were single servings. Anyway, we were all too full, so it worked out fine. We also ordered a pitcher of Rickard's Red.
Nice comfy booths, clean restaurant, and our waitress was very friendly and attentive. She checked on us even after we got our meals. We visited on a Saturday. Lots of parking available. I would definitely take my family again. Reasonable prices and huge menu, plus great...
Read moreMy partner and I decided to spontaneously drive up a trip to Bolton to try out a random restaurant and we bumped into Boltons Jacks Pub & Grill! We were kind of iffy because we didn’t know what to expect and outside of the restaurant looked really small and quiet. Upon arriving, we were greeted by our wonderful server. She was so kind! (We forgot her name). She took our order and I couldn’t make up my mind for what drink I wanted, and she ended up making me an espresso martini - which was absolutely delicious!! I ordered the chicken bruschetta with mashed potatoes and veggies, and he ordered the 10 oz NY steak, which was absolutely mouthwatering! We also got Nachos as our appetizer, and all three meals were a solid 10/10! We were extremely full by the time we left! This place has amazing prices for the amount of portion of food you actually get! The only downfall was it was really quiet on a Sunday evening, but I ended up looking up the restaurant on Instagram and they seem to have fun events every so often and karaoke nights and I can definitely tell this place gets packed on a Saturday night!! We would 1000% come again to try more of their menu and would definitely...
