I am huge fan of the Vietnamese Pho Bowls and like always I am trying a new place for my best bowl of pho for dinner and I am greeted by the rudest server I have ever encountered. The server literally slammed the menus on the table and I thought maybe he was having a bad day . But when I watched him serve other guests present , he was being nothing but nice .. I am trying start a riot but it felt a little racist at its best and when taking my order he was like literally snatching back the menu and is like in a weird rush .. If this is how this place is then I would not recommend this place to my brow skinned friends as maybe we are not welcome in this restaurant Food was actually good and value for its money

We placed an order for takeout as my wife wanted a Vietnamese sub which came with mayo, beef, pickled carrots, green and white onions and cilantro. It looked really good and she enjoyed it! I had the spicy satay beef noodle soup which came nicely separated for transportation. I switched to the bean thread noodles as I much prefer that over rice cakes. The soup was loaded with meat and noodles and overall a good flavour but thought it was missing some spice. The deep fried wontons were stuffed with a large amount of shrimp and pork which we enjoyed.

Their menu items have a nice little twist to the convention Vietnamese cuisine. One go to dish is the Spicy Tamarind Coco-Lime Chicken Noodle soup. Another recommended item is the Mix Meat and Seafood on Cambodian Glass Noodle. Recently, their newer Creamy Sate Noodle Soup really hits the spot, with a sweet and creamy broth, which balances out the heat from the sate (pictured). The service takes longer than most Vietnamese restaurants, but it's worth the wait if you have the time!

This restaurant’s customer service is beyond; completely unprofessional, unaccountable and frankly lower than piss poor. The ā€œserverā€ that has been mentioned in other bad reviews is the same individual that I’ve encountered myself on more than one occasion. Had a bad experience over 2 years ago and thought I’d try again, thinking that just maybe.......Nope-should not have done that. Ordered delivery. This time, the food was completely inedible: the lime coconut chicken tamarind soup was very mushy, it was disgusting and the chicken undercooked. The spicy chicken dumplings fell apart as they were completely beyond them selves. Every time you tried to capture a piece with your fork it separated and fell apart! And to top it off, the food delivered wasn’t even fully the correct order because the deep fried shrimp spring rolls that were ordered came as shrimp wrapped with vermicelli in rice paper stuffed with green leaves; which looked like it had seen better days. When my sister called to discuss with the said server; the same individual that’s been encountered before and again the same person that everyone’s talked about, he indicated that it was not his fault-as the order was told to him that way. On the order receipt it clearly states what was ordered? He passed off the blame to the delivery company, which he also said they don’t deal with and he didn’t know or understand how doordash became involved but yet below in the owners commments they’re connection is acknowledged? He was very patronizing, antagonistic and argumentative, and had zero ability to hear the customer, nor did he remotely try to concede to remedy the situation in any way. The level of rudeness is actually disturbing. This person should NOT be in any position when it comes to working or dealing with the public. Clearly, there are some very significant personal issues with this person and how they cope in life.

And any of these 5 star reviews-I would say they got some fair food on an excellent day and did not encounter this sad person or got mediocre food while they did encounter this person but turned a blind eye or some of these reviews are false? Please People-save your money and eat anywhere but.....I swear to God.....Never ever again!!! And to the owner (seems one in the same) you replied to my comment last evening and tried to blame door dash while not once accepting any accountability. You were hot headed and beyond ignorant, you talked over my sister while on the phone; I could hear your loud voice barking at her through the phone. She was being very polite but became upset after being constantly interrupted etc. Same behaviour I’ve experienced and witnessed to others before.

Your customers ARE the reason you can even operate a business. How you treat your customers-will ultimately be the reason that one day you may not have a restaurant to run. You will be your own undoing! Karma never looses an addressā˜ŗļø...

Customer service is nonexistent. Ordered a soup bowl for takeout and found a hair. Called the restaurant and the guy that helped me first asked for a pic then asked me to bring it back so he ā€œdoesn’t get in troubleā€ since he ā€œcan’t take my word for itā€. I said I’ll be around and being it. He reiterated again to bring the whole food! Like honestly, you think I’d just continue eating something with a hair? Poor mannerisms started right there. I had to close up everything and keep it by my door ready to take back to the restaurant the next day - unhygienic and disgusting.

Brought it back to him and the first thing he does is inspect the food. Opens it up and asks where the hair is. I told him it’s inside the bowl, he can look for it. He closes it back up and says he’ll make a new one. So far, no apology, and his body language isn’t remotely remorseful.

Then he comes back out with the new food and says ā€œjust so you know, the kitchen didn’t find any hair but we made you a new one out of good faith anyway. Our staff wears hair netsā€. ….. read that again.

I was SHOCKED. I literally did not have anything to respond with except ā€œthe hair is thereā€ and he said ā€œI believe you this timeā€ then I thanked him (????? Shock???) and left. Not a single apology and an accusation of being a liar? And the assumption I’ll be coming back? Way too messed up. Way too messed up.

I hope everyone who thinks of ordering gets to see this. If you have no customer service skills and don’t know how to handle a hair in the food then please just hire someone else whose better at it. I was made to feel belittled and embarrassed, and this is not ok. Not as a business and not...

I'd rate the food as delicious but the rude wait staff left a very poor taste in my mouth. We sat in this restaurant for an hour before our food came out. When we arrived we ordered the salad rolls as an appetizer, and then it took us about 5 minutes to order our meal of choice which did state in the menu it would take a little extra time for this dish. We have dined in this establishment a number of times and have not waited for longer than 20 minutes for the dish. After waiting for about 25 minutes we finally asked a wait staff if our salad rolls (our appetizer not even the main dish) were coming.... we then hear our waiter call it out to his kitchen staff. Turns out the waitress we had completely forgot to tell the kitchen we had ordered ANYTHING. Another while passed before receiving the salad rolls. Delish. Then we sat. More people came in. We sat. People left. We sat. Then we noticed a table of 3 who arrived at least 30 minutes after us had received their food and were almost done eating. At this point we decided it was time to go. We paid for our salad rolls and proceeded to leave. At which point they felt they should follow us out the door to tell us WE were mistaken and these are standard wait times. I let the waiter know we drove all the way from the SE specifically to dine at this establishment and we dine here often. He actually had the audacity to tell me I mustve had them mistaken for another restaurant. Honestly, Pho Huan Pasteur across the plaza is way better, service and food. After many visits to this Taste of Saigon, I will not be returning after this...
