Was charged twice for a take out 2 hummus containers. When I went in to tell them they charged me twice, the guy was calling corporate office on ask on what to do. I asked where's my money, I showed you my banks says I was charged twice. Then he went on to ask for my bank card details and will call me to refund me later!!!!!! I said no, I am not leaving until you give me back my money! Then all people were staring at us. The other customer was talking to the staff in Arabic and saying that, ' she is right, give back her money.' Then I talked in Arabic, I said I understand what you guys are talking about! All of a sudden, the staff opened the cash machine and gave me back my money!!!. So this goes to show that these staff are not trained what to do when their cash machine makes a mistake in charging the customer 2x. Still needs to call corporate office or supervisor, while the customer is waiting for her money to be refunded. Prior to that, my son said you charged me 2x and the same guy said, ' no, you were only charged 1x', which is wrong because my son was issued 2 receipts for only 2 containers of hummus!!!!!! Very bad experience on this Jerusalem Shawarma branch in Royal Oak. People to be careful with these staff as they don't even investigate why 2 receipts was issued. My bank statement states differently and to ask for my card details!!!!!! Not happening at all, only to be refunded for the extra charge in my bank account!!!!! Management must train these people serving the public and do not intimidate customers like I was treated this afternoon. If those staff are not trained to deal with the public, then don't put them in front of customers. That kind of intimidation to customers is unwarranted and unsolicited. Hope this will help other customers to be vigilant with these kind of staff at the Royal Oak Jerusalem Sharwma. None of your intimidation is needed in dealing with the public at all. I did not work in Saudi Arabia for 10 years to be intimidated again by the likes of these kind of people. Hope the corporate office will do something to these...
Read moreI recently had an issue with an order I placed through Skip the Dishes from Jerusalem Shawarma. The order showed as delivered, but it never arrived at my door. I was extremely disappointed with how Skip handled the situation - they seemed indifferent and unwilling to make it right.
However, when I called Jerusalem Shawarma directly, they went above and beyond to rectify the problem. Despite the mix-up being out of their control, they took full responsibility and immediately set me up with a brand new meal order.
Their customer service was simply outstanding. In an era where every dollar counts, especially for little treats like takeout, it meant so much that they valued my business and satisfaction. Jerusalem Shawarma could have easily passed the buck, but instead they chose to put the customer first.
Beyond the incredible service, their food is absolutely delicious! The shawarma is perfectly seasoned and so flavorful. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable.
I cannot recommend Jerusalem Shawarma enough. Between the mouthwatering meals and the top-notch customer care, they have a loyal customer in me. If you're in Royal Oak, do yourself a favor and get some shawarma from this fantastic restaurant. You won't be...
Read moreAs an avid Jerusalem Shawarma fan from the beginning, it saddens me to be writing this review right now. I’m really disappointed in saying that what used to be one of my favourite places to go out and eat has now become a place that I won’t order from anymore.
Today, I ordered 2 big plates with rice, salad, chicken and beef. As I opened the box, I realized that the meat was just covering the rice. I decided to weigh how much chicken and beef there was, and realized that for $50, you get less than 200 grams of both meats combined, which should be a significant portion of your meals. With every time that I have been ordering from Jerusalem in the past year, I’ve noticed that they tend to put less and less meat, and replace it with filler food like rice. You’re basically paying for rice and a salad.
Not only was the quantity of the meat an issue, but also the quality of it. The beef tasted like lamb, and I found a really long hair in my tasteless chicken. The garlic sauce was not as potent as before, and the flavour of the whole plate was missing.
Within the last year, I’ve been giving this place many tries to redeem themselves, but unfortunately, this will be the last time that I’m...
