We discovered this place about 2 months ago while in the search to find some really good shish tawouk and authentic tasting Lebanese food . The shish tawouk chicken skewers are the best Iāve had in Calgary , after moving here from N.S a few years ago , and missing my favourite place there . The chicken is freshly grilled and marinated in flavourful and authentic tasting spices . It is very good value for money , especially when in a platter combo. I have ordered take out from here and also picked up and dined in , it is all delicious and fresh whatever way you get it , but dining in just feels extra special here somehow , so I would recommend dining in at some point .
The place is very clean and food is made fresh when ordered . The people working there are very nice and friendly and take pride In the delicious food they make .
After discovering this place it is now my favourite Middle Eastern food in Calgary and my favourite casual - take out place. I have ordered for and brought my son and boyfriend food here several times now and between us we have had the shawarma plates , the mixed bbq š platter , poutine , fries and rice , falafels , shish tawouk, and fatouch salad . The fatouch salad here is also the best one Iāve had in Calgary along with the shish tawouk and I have tried almost every Middle Eastern place in Calgary as itās my favourite type of food .
If you havenāt tried this place yet , donāt hesitate , itās delicious and great value...

Whelp, it was.
The owner was attending to us and he was giving off extremely happy vibes. Cheerful and bright. While the actual venue was unremarkable, it was the general sense of "no one in here is miserable slinging shawarma" that set it apart from most shawarma places. Everything was clean and new looking (he said they'd opened roughly 7 months ago), if sparsely furnished/decorated.
More importantly, there was an attention to detail in the assembly of the wrap that was pretty special. He carefully placed each pickled item so they were evenly distributed; he didn't drown the wraps in so much sauce to leave room for the other flavours to shine; he salted the tomatoes, which was a welcomed delight; and the tahini wasn't super salty. The Arabi meat was fantastic, and I'd take it over donair meat, now; he asked how toasted we wanted the wraps, and toasted their exterior to perfection. Then he proceeded to wrap the wrap in the usual tin-foil kind of stuff, but did so precisely so that there wasn't leakage at the bottom and the top half slid off effortlessly. No fuss. No mess. 100% delicious.
Hats off to this place. These 5 star reviews were...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had the pleasure of ordering takeout at Arabi Shawarma & Grill YYC restaurant, which was an absolute delight. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the warm and friendly staff.
The menu offers a wide range of Middle Eastern cuisine. We ordered the family platter and the Arabi mini shawarma bites. The owner was kind enough to make our order larger, as we had quite a few people eating. The amount of rice, meat, potatoes, and salad was more than expected! The freshly made hummus was creamy and delicious, and the baba ghanoush was just perfect.
To top it all off, they had Kibbeh on their menu, which is quite hard to find near our area! The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.
Overall, I highly recommend Arabi Shawarma & Grill YYC restaurant to anyone looking for delicious and authentic cuisine in a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Awesome story of how the owner's dream was to open this restaurant - keep up the good work! I can't wait to go back and try more of their...
