Read moreAfter driving past this place multiple times, and convincing my partner to head into this restaurant, this was a wonderful introduction to Nepalese cuisine. It is clear that the owners work hard to maintain quality service, a comfortable atmosphere and amazing food. The food was so good that I forgot to take most of the photos for this review, not that I needed to since the striking taste is burned into my tongue. The only photo provided was of the Mango Rice Pudding…….. it was great.
My partner and I started off with the Onion Bhajia (crunchy and filling) and the Vegetable Samosas. Both were served with a delicious tamarind sauce! Then we both got the Nepali Khana with Lamb (served with Paneer cooked in a creamy tomato cashew broth, yellow lentil Dal, broad leaf mustard Rayo Saag, spiced pickle, naan bread and Chai!) It was a great variety of food with flavours that I have never had before, and I could barely finish it! For dessert, we both got the Mango Rice pudding, a sweet explosion of flavour!
The people behind this wonderful restaurant deserve all of the attention and praise. I will be thinking about this meal for a long time. You guys deserve all of the love!
And for the people who hesitate to come to this restaurant, you will never regret visiting this place. It will leave you feeling blissful and satiated,...
Read moreI had really high hopes for this place given the great reviews but I was left pretty underwhelmed. I'll start with the positive - the butter chicken is very good. The sauce is more bright red than it is orange and it's sweeter than traditional butter chicken which is preferable for me. The naan is more dense and thick than some other places but I really enjoyed it. Tasted very fresh and the texture was perfect. The Shahi Paneer was very watery and there was 7 chunks of paneer in the entire dish. The flavor was decent but the consistency and lack of paneer was disappointing. The Eggplant Bharta was extremely oily. It tasted ok but I don't favor the recipe they use here. Lastly the vegetable korma dish was very gritty. I've had this dish at numerous other restaurants where it's creamy, thick and brighter in color. This had a greyer look to it than the yellow (from the curry) than I'm used to. It wasn't bad but the flavour wasn't as appealing to me. The price for 4 entrées and 2 orders of naan was 71 dollars. Fair price point, just wish the food was better. Overall not bad but I wouldn't order from here again based...
