Azalea Korean Cuisine 金达莱 — Restaurant in Calgary

I ordered their Lychee Green Tea on their picture sign (see pic #1) in front of their store. The lady even came out to see it as I pointed to the picture.(hindsight red flag 1). I kept asking her are the drinks pre-mixed and she seemed to not understand what I was asking (red flag 2). The reason I asked that question is because I usually like 30% sweetness in my drinks. Since she seemed to not understand what I was asking so I asked her “little” sugar and she responded with yes so I ordered the Lychee Green Tea drink. As I was waiting for the drink she went to the back of the store where I can’t see anything. When she came back out with the milky white drink (see picture #2), i was thinking to myself “that cannot be my drink”. She then put the drink in the cup sealer machine and proceeded to give me the drink and a bubble tea straw. I was still in shocked so I punctured the cup to taste the drink in front of the lady and the man who was working there. First sip, lychee flavour from a can and ABSOLUTELY no trace of any tea flavour let alone green tea. I took the drink and asked them to confirm if the drink has green tea in it and they both said “yes”. Knowing that I just got scammed, I just took the drink and left because I know I will never buy from them again. FYI, I didn’t drink anymore after pic 2 was taken.

We do a lot of our groceries at T&T and have been wanting to try their dishes as I love Korean foods. From this drink experience, it proves that what you see on picture is not what you will always get. The 2 pictures speak loudly on how they run their store.

If you still want to try their stuff by ordering through their pictures, just make sure to ask them if the stuff will come out at least close to how they look in...

I have tried alot of sushi. By far the best kimbap I've ever had. Such high quality ingredients for an amazing price. There flavors are too die for. Their dumplings as well are so crunchy and nice and flavourful. Will be returning as much as I can afford. I love that it's in t&t aswell you can shop while they make it and it's ready by the time your done. Highly recommend. The worker on January 6th was so respectful and so kind. Absolutely amazing customer service. I fed 3 people for only 54$ which for the quality is so worth it because now a days you'll spend the same amount on fast food this is just so...

Oh man... I was very excited about this meal. Ordered on Skip the Dishes. I had the pork cheese katsu and the sweet and sour pork. The katsu was okay, but I don't know if the serving size justifies the price. The sweet and sour pork... well, if it's the Korean version of sweet and sour pork you are looking for, this is definitely not it. It was greasy and soggy, and I think it was likely undercooked.
