barBURRITO — Restaurant in Calgary

Placed an online order for pickup, 2 quesadillas with corn, tomatoes, green pepper, salsa and cilantro.

Minutes later, I received a call from the restaurant, the young lady said "You didn't specify if you want cheese on your quesadillas" It's a quesadilla. I explained the only option online was "no cheese" and yes please I would like cheese. The response was a slightly snarky "My bad I guess"

Ffwd: we are at home with our food. I'm used to delicious, hot, crispy quesadillas from this restaurant. Upon opening the container, I could tell something was wrong. There was hardly any cheese, and it was 0% melted. The tortilla was soft and floppy. These clearly hadn't seen a second in the oven. My wife's quesadilla also came with hardly any chicken, and loads of onions and jalapeno which she had to pick off. I turned on the oven and cooked our food so it was at least edible. Meanwhile, I called the restaurant to inform them of the error, and our displeasure at the general quality of the meal. The same young lady responded with ANOTHER "My bad I guess". No apology, no effort to rectify the situation, I had to ask what they can do about it. I was unwilling to drive another 25 minutes to pick up new food. They offered to keep my name and receipt at the restaurant for a free meal next time. I requested a refund at least for my wife's meal and was told they can't do refunds.

The whole thing was so poorly handled, I was left feeling like it was my fault the order was wrong. This location needs to step up their training and have a chat with their staff about the careless attitude they present to their guests. I have contacted the company via online form, but I'm not optimistic this can...

This location has always been an issue for us in terms of service and accuracy of the order. This one particular girl that works there always seems to get the order wrong and refuses to fix it despite being told of the correction. The first time this happened, we got a burrito box with a burrito and she ended up making a bowl instead. On top of that, she was asked to put chicken on the extreme fries instead of beef because we’re not beef eaters, and she still put beef on it. After being informed that we don’t eat beef and had asked for chicken, she just said ‘oh I can’t change it now’ and handed the order anyway. The second time, ingredients were missing. And now the third time, she forgot to put any protein (at all) because she was asked to put chicken instead of beef in one. After calling the store, the manager passed the phone to her saying she was the one who made the order (without taking any accountability for his store) and she was argumentative over the phone, stating she was only told to put beef on one and nothing on the other, even though my boyfriend had mentioned it to her 3 times to add chicken on one and beef on the other. It’s genuinely frustrating to go to this location only because of this one person who doesn’t seem to be accountable for anything she does. It’s worth noting that the other 2 people who work there are absolutely wonderful, but this one girl seems to be there more often than not now and I will not be going to them anymore just because of this. I love love bar burrito. Honestly bar burrito is best maxican in calgary so far. But this location, omg it’s so bad. I will never ever go to this location again ever even if they give me free food. I ordered burrito bowl with veggie ground. I asked the indian lady working there to put both beans and she looked at me like I asked for her kidneys. And then when I asked to put pineapple salsa and medium salsa, she literally took 2 pineapples and put in bowl. Wow not even half scoop. And then she added so little sauce so I asked for extra bang bang sauce and she literally added 2 drops. Omg how cheap can you get !! I don’t even mind paying extra but just put the damn thing the way I want. If you just gonna make the bowl your own way, why prepare it in-front of customer. Just pre-make them ! This was the worst ever experience with bar burrito for me. If you really wanna try good bar burrito food, go to university district near Brentwood. I think owner should sent the staff there to get trained. I would give this one negative 5 stars. I wish I had driven a bit more to...
