Wok Box - Symons Valley — Restaurant in Calgary

How is this place still open? This photo I’ve provided should serve as the motto for this business. Not working. Pop machine, ice machine, fridge, not working. Everything is so dirty, dilapidated and run down in this location. I am usually a huge fan of Wok Box, but this looks like someone opened this location and forgot to maintain it. The chicken in the Butter Chicken is like the $5 meat protein packs at Walmart, stick to what you know. Butter chicken was a bad choice. Chewy; low quality and not fresh. No handwashing, personal cell phone handling during food prep, nasty food and frankly, I’d skip this location altogether. No hellos, greetings, thank yous, and some basic daily cleaning needs to occur at this location, as you can tell it’s not being done here. Wok Box, you should have stuck to Asian and Fusion. This new wings, onion rings, whatever is making your entire restaurant stink like seven month old cooking oil, or that could just be the seven month old...

First off, I'd like to say customer service was excellent. Cashier was very friendly. The issue I had, is that I ordered a to go meal, and picked a portion size expecting the container to be filled to the top. As I was handed my food in a to go bag, being my first time there, I inspected the items in the bag, expecting to see utensils and maybe be asked if I needed any sauce? No utensils, and no questions about condiments. I asked for some anyway, and headed back to my house to eat my food. I opened my container to see that my food was only filled about a half inch to the top, and it appeared to be mostly rice. I dumped it into my plate to reveal just that. The taste wasn't terrible, but I was left hungry. Ended up ordering pizza afterwards. I will sadly, never return to this place. Pretty...

If I could give 0 stars i would. The second I walked in I felt like I was intruding. The two girls working didn’t say a single word no greeting, no music, just awkward silence and blank stares. It was like I interrupted their hangout or something. I looked at the menu while they stood there watching me and when I ordered one of them literally rolled her eyes and pointed at the sizes instead of just asking. Not a single word. As for the food Horrible. I expected a wait since nothing seemed prepped but i watched her grab old dried out chicken and hard rice, throw the chicken in the fryer for a few seconds (probably to fake freshness) then microwave the rice. It came out rock hard and completely tasteless genuinely one of the worst bowls...
