Chicken On The Way - Crowfoot — Restaurant in Calgary

I went to chicken on the way today and let's just say I was not pleased. Me and my family stood in line for 20 mins. While we waited we could see the food being prepared. I was disgusted and shocked at how the employees handled the food, as well how dirty the store was for being open less than a week. The employees didn't wash their hands as well as kept touching their greasy hair and faces and kept touching the food. On top of the dirty hands they would handle chicken and then other items with washing their hands. Now to the food. I thought the food would makeup for the staff...... but is DIDNT!! The food was overly greasy and over cooked. The chicken chicken was so greasy I felt like I'd go into cardiac arrest after one bite. All jokes aside the chicken had bad flavour and texture as well as te fries sucked. The fries tasted like the were cooked with old fryer oil. The only redeeming food was the corn fritters. I've honestly never eaten chicken so bad in my life, at this moment I feel ill and won't be surprised if I get food poisoning. I took the liberty of forcing myself to expell the poison that is...

I was in the shop a few months ago and purchased their "BONUS MEAL" it was so large just so packed full of fries and chicken (Three pieces was a huge amount) and even a fritter.

I then was in last night and noticed that either they have changed management or were just being lazy.

I purchased the same BONUS MEAL and there were 18 fries (yes we counted them) the chicken was still delicious and tender BUT why the EXTREMELY small amount of fries.

I purchased two gravies as last time we did not have enough... this time they meal was so small that the staff could fit both gravies, bbq sauces, fork and ketchup in the same box as our chicken and fries.

Tried again and seemed that the cost was higher BUT portions were smaller. I order extra items with my hungry man and they put them all inside so portions were even smaller.

Very sad.

The price I paid yesterday was horrible as to what I have gotten many times before.... horrible portions.

We ordered a 12 piece checked meal with fries and gravy for the Stanly Cup Final - first thing - when we drove down to pick it up @ 5 p.m after pre ordering it @ 11 a.m, it was not ready. Secondly - they forgot our fries and corn fritters. Thirdly - the drumsticks are about as big is my finger but my finger has MORE MEAT on it!!! What the heck is that? Fourthly - when we called to complain we were told they were TOO busy and we would have to pay for anything we wanted fixed!!! WHAT THE HECK!!!!

I've already mentioned the size of the drumsticks - but just WAIT until you see the size of the checked wings. This whole meal cost us $42 - that puts each piece of chicken at $3.50. what's an absolute disappointment! Do your family a favor and look elsewhere. All these failures where matched with 3.9/5 rating. That's where we went wrong. Should have done some research. NEVER AGAIN Chicken on the Way -...
