Horrible. I have never felt like writing a poor review like this until today. I gave it a full day to think about it and I still feel compelled to warn diners about this place. Firstly, I walked about 20 mins in the cold to get there so I was really looking forward to reading my book, a meal and to warm up for about 30 minutes. When I first went in, i stood at the front to be seated and noticed there was only 4 or 5 tables (so like 1/3 full). After waiting a couple of minutes unseated, I peered around the corner and noticed the 2 young waitresses chatting to each other and another lady speaking/laughing with the cook. No one was on the floor dealing with the existing customers so they clearly had better things to do. I eventually got the attention of the older woman who was still chatting away with the cooking staff. I asked her if I could please be seated at the back area furthest away from the front door and got 'the look' and an eye roll. (Should have left right then). I basically seated myself and waited for someone to offer water/coffee/menu/signs of life but got nothing. When I say I sat there 15 minutes unattended in a barely populated restaurant, I mean ZERO interaction for 15 minutes. In fact, I watched the rude manager seat another table and attend to them 20 feet in front of me. It's not the big of a place so this was obviously purposeful or inexcusably negligent. With 3 waiting staff now fully committed to not serving me, I got up and left but first asked the 2 young girls who the manager was. One of them pointed out the older woman was and I told her the treatment I received was shocking and terrible. I asked her why I hadn't been acknowledged and why a table was catered to after I arrived, she threw one of the waitresses under the bus and said that she told her to take care of me earlier. I encourage the manager/owner to look at the video (which I presume they have for security reasons) to see if my timelines/story are fabricated. I presume they rely on repeat customers and/or positive reviews to succeed, so I hope the owner of the place reads this and notes this shameful treatment. I mean, this isn't bone cancer, but businesses need to know they are getting gutted from within by their own people and cause their customers to write reviews like this and spread word to their network to not go here. I have been to THOUSANDS of places before and would put this in my top 5 worst customer service experiences. I wouldn't mind if the food had been burnt (human nature) or an apology if they were running around busy because of high volume but it was DEAD in there and the manager couldn't have been more disinterested in my existence. What an interesting business plan strategy that is! She only offered to serve me as I was walking out and only after I told her a review would be coming her way. I said I was leaving as I presumed any order forthcoming would be spit in because I was obviously not a person of value in there. Imagine being in the service industry and people thinking that you might be capable of that? Crazy. I'm not looking for another shot or a free meal or an apology even. I just want fellow diners to know what expectations they should have of this place. I went there once before and the food was good so I presume it's still fine but I will never be back...
Read moreWe had some family visiting from the East Coast and they wanted to go to Eggs Oasis in Crowfoot for breakfast. The place was quite busy when we entered and that is usually a good sign. Savanna, our server, was very pleasant and did a great job even though you could see she was very busy. After an extended wait for our breakfasts (30-40 minutes) the food arrived. Three of the four breakfasts were cold. The toast was cold and rock hard. After checking the rest of the food, I called Savanna to come over and told her the food was cold. She apologized and took our plates. She asked if we wanted it redone, but I told her we did not have time to wait for another extended period. A few minutes later she returned and told us that the manager said we would "only" have to pay half price. I was surprised that they would charge us anything considering most of the food was untouched. I requested to see the manager. About 5 minutes later, Savanna returned to our table and told us that the manager (her name was Anjanna) would not come talk to us. I was shocked! This is the first time I had ever seen something like this. I asked Savanna to go back and ask her once again. Savanna came back about 5 minutes later and told us that Anjanna would not come out and that we could leave but Savanna would have to pay for the breakfast. Naturally, we did not want the server to be stuck with the bill so I asked her to provide me with the name and numbers of Anjanna's boss. She returned once again with the name and number but the manager would still not come out. We ended up paying for two of the four breakfasts (only one was eaten). Savanna apologized once again and we were told that there was only one cook in the kitchen, but I am sorry, that is not an excuse to serve cold food. In the parking lot, I called the boss (his name was Aman). He told me that the server usually deals with customer issues and the manager may have been busy. I told him that we had made the request a number of times and he told me that he would look into it and get back to me within the hour. That was three weeks ago. I will never again go to any Eggs Oasis, as, if this is their idea of customer service, and they are not willing to stand behind their product, there are many other breakfast places that have great customer service and only want the customer to be satisfied. Great job Savanna, very poor job Eggs...
Read moreUpdate: Reading the comments now, after submitting my own review, I see many patterns that I hope the management can learn from and improve on. If things were improved, I would go back to this location but right now, unfortunately, no.
Here I am a bit confused on what star rating to give this breakfast and lunch place.
Parking: ample and free Seating: a big restaurant with a lot of seating and we were seated fairly quickly, despite the full restaurant!
Service: kind waitress and came to ask if we needed anything else two times. Considering how busy the place was, that seemed good to me! She's a great asset to your team!
Food: the eggs Benedict was good but came out too soon before the other two meals. It became cold.
The Goddess Crepes were more like thin pancakes and didn't have all of the fruit listed (due to a shortage). It was not accompanied by the English cream, mentioned in the menu but I brought it to the waitresses attention and received some sort of tasty custard.
The waffle was not waffle consistency --do you use the same batter for the waffles as pancakes or crepes? The waffle was also very undercooked, unfortunately. This was never remedied in any way (despite bringing it to the waitresses attention). So we left semi-hungry, and out money for raw food.
The potatoes were inconsistently cooked due to various thicknesses and some stuck together. Some more care could be taken to ensure they are cooked well.
Value: as expected for any breakfast place. Avg $20/person and you're fed well (as long as you can eat all the food...if it's not undercooked). Food should come out together or close in time to ensure everyone is eating hot food.
Just making the comparison to the other location...thinking this place is better for eggs than anything else. Eggs Benedict...
