We came to Chianti tonight to celebrate my birthday (made a reservation too) and we had the worst food we’ve EVER had. There was 6 of us and only two meals were enjoyed. It started with my husband ordering a beer which was completely flat. The server said they just changed the keg but will bring another one anyway. Thats a lie, we all know if you just changed a keg, it’s not going to be flat. The second beer she brought out was a bit better but my husband said it tasted like they mixed the two because it was still a bit flat. Moving on to the dinner portion; My son and I ordered pastas with their gluten free option. The server said it was rice noodles and this was fine. We did not expect the dishes to come out looking like Vietnamese dishes. Like, these were the thinnest rice noodles I’ve ever seen to be substituted for pasta and it was WAY over cooked, so much so that it was beyond mushy. Neither of us ate more than five bites before we couldn’t take it anymore. They were completely nasty. My dad’s dish was full of prosciutto that had so much gristle he could barely chew it. He also said that his dish was very dry. When a staff person (not our server) came to collect the plates, he asked if everything was ok and I told him about the gluten free dishes and he said he would speak to the kitchen and let them know. The next thing we know the server came out with the bill and there was ZERO mention about the complaint we had - NOTHING. The fact that we brought this to a staff members attention and it was completely shoved under the rug just shows what kind of customer service this place provides. It would’ve been nice if there was some sort of acknowledgment about the poor food; a discount or maybe taking the gluten free meals off the menu as we only ate a few bites out of them.

I would not waste your money on this restaurant, go somewhere that has authentic Italian food and where staff and management care about its customers. Boston Pizza would’ve been a way...

I advise not to go here.

Went to Chianti for a late lunch. We were seated promptly which that is the only good thing I'll say. We had to sitting for 15 mins before the waitress came by to take our drink order which I found very slow as there was only 2 other tables there and one was getting ready to leave. We gave our drink order and food order at the same time as we did not know if it would take another 15 mins for our food order. She did drop off only 3 small pieces of bread and oil. A little while later our food arrived and no drinks. So we inquired with the man that brought our food and then the waitress. Finally we got our drinks.

Let's start with the drinks one was a Pepsi that is very hard to screw up, the next was a Peach Bellini which was on special which it wasn't. It was a Peach Sangria. Difference in case you don't know a Bellini is made with Prosecco and a Sangria is made with Red Wine. In the way for taste, it tasted like the wine was opened a few days ago and was very stale.

Now for main event the food. The best way to discribe it is, it tasted like I just ordered from a cafeteria. My chicken and cannelloni was zero flavor and barely any meat inside the Cannelloni. The sauce was the closest to Red water I have ever seen which there was so much red water on my plate it was almost a soup. The fettuccine was just blah. My wife's Chicken fettuccine the cubed chicken once again no flavor. After I said to my wife this feels like a Cafeteria, when we looked around that was the vibe there after.

I am very disappointed with this Chianti, it use to be so good and enjoyed dining there. But it seams like many restaurants, after the lock down the price as gone up, and the quality and pride of the resturant has gone down. As I say in many of my reviews if you don't believe me try Chianti's for yourself, just don't blame me if I...

Met friends for dinner at Chianti's Crowfoot on Sunday. Made a reservation for 6:00. We were seated right away. Foccacia with oil and balsamic vinegar were brought immediately. The manager, Dave I believe, informed us that one whole side of the menu that was titled PASTA was all $14.99. We ordered cocktails and when one of the cocktails wasn't available our server, Bethany, took the time to go through the different cocktails and make recommendations. Our friend liked the decided upon beverage. We shared a calamari appetizer that was hot and crisp when it arrived. Bethany replenished the bread and oil dip. Our main courses arrived and everyone had chosen a different pasta dish. They were very generous and aromatic. We ordered a bottle of chianti reserve and while Bethany was uncorking it, she asked if we were celebrating an occassion. We said just good friendship. Our friends said they used to live here but now live on Vancouver Island and had especially asked to meet at Chiantis because of a pasta dish he loved. Bethany asked if he was enjoying it and he admitted that it was not what he remembered. When he described the dish he remembered she was quick to politely point out that it was the pasta further down the menu. She then offered to have the kitchen make that dish. Our friend said no but she repeated the offer and he accepted. The fresh dish arrived and our friend was thrilled. I love cafe latte, but do not like it steaming hot. I told Bethany that and lo and behold the temperature of my latte was perfect. We closed the place down at 10:00. Our evening was perfect, the food was delicious, the price was reasonable, and both Dave and Bethany made us feel like we were being served in their home kitchen. We will go back again and expect the ambiance and service will be just as...

Our server was an absolute gem! Super good at answering my questions about the menu! Very friendly and checked on us a number of times! I got the Spicy I'thai'lian Chicken salad and a sweet white wine which were great together! Cute name for the salad, very punny! My honest opinion of the salad is, I was pretty disappointed with the presentation but the flavour was good. Starting with my biggest pet peeve, if I'm eating in a restaurant I want to be able to politely eat my meal without struggling to get a balanced bite into my mouth. It's also not enjoyable to prep 1/2 my meal on the plate myself. If I wanted to cut things up I'd have cooked for myself. The tomato slices, which aren't listed on the menu, on the side of the plate are "pretty", I guess. Consider bite size tomato chunks or removing them from the dish because I can assume they rarely get eaten and are a waste/cost concern. On the size note, consider having matchstick sized bell peppers. Reducing the size of the pieces not only makes it a more enjoyable experience eating this salad but also saves on cost. The chicken was VERY moist and delicious, but also needed to be cut into manageable pieces. A chicken breast should be cut into more than 4 pieces! A little less red onion wouldn't hurt as well but a far smaller concern. The rice noodles were heavily over cooked, resulting in little bits or mushy noodles about a cm long. Lemons for squeezing should be deseeded so guests aren't picking seeds out of their meals. The peanut sauce has a good flavour and almost the perfect amount of it was on the salad!

I enjoy coming here because the flavours are delicious and the service is typically great! However I need to management to increase their knowledge around gluten free. If a company is going to offer gluten free then please operate with the expectation that it has to do with an allergy, not a dietary preference. Thankfully I’m an asymptomatic celiac but cross contamination still has long term negative effects on my body. But I will never recommend this restaurant to a symptomatic celiac. My food was not kept separate from the gluten food, my container was even put into the same bag as the bread and there was bread crumbs all over my container. And as you’ll see there is my family members pasta sauce all over the top of my pasta container. This is not sauce from my food as I got the pasta with curry. Management please do better. I just returned from a trip from Italy and maybe my expectations maybe too high but a country that is 90% Italian restaurants offering pizza and pasta did a better job of keeping me safe from gluten than you guys.

Visited for the first time in many years (after other positive experiences). After being seated we were told it was pasta frenzy where any pasta dish was $12.99. We had 2 mains, shared 2 starters and a dessert for under $60! They bring out thick focaccia style bread to dip in oils to start. We shared a started caesar salad and calamari. The calamari was the star of the night- very tender, crispy and quite large. I had the Alla Con Chipotle (chipotle peppers, pesto, red peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, spicy sauce and substituted the chicken for the inhouse Italian sausage). The sausage was great but thought there could have been more sun-dried tomatoes and the sauce more spicy (but I like heat). My wife had the Sicilian (linguini, curry sausage, mushrooms, Italian sausage and onions). She also liked the sausage, found it to be too spicy (she doesn't handle heat well) but enjoyed it overall. We took our Tiramisu to go as we were super full. We both found it a bit too soggy for our liking but had a good flavor. Service was really good.
