I keep meaning to post my review and then forgetting over and over and over again - whoops. I really prefer to try local places when I'm ordering things like pizza, and I meant to come here after they had just opened, but totally forgot.
Since my first time here though, I've probably been back 3 or 4 times (sometimes multiple times in a week!) because they have what I would argue is the best pizza I've had in Calgary. The only contenders I can think of are Mountain Steak and Pizza in Edson or L & W in Hinton, which are obviously a little too far away for delivery lol.
The staff are so welcoming and sweet, and the owner/manager is so gracious about feedback - you can tell this is an establishment that really wants to work to earn its customers' approval, and that is something so rare to find these days.
I came in with a friend one night while we were doing house renos because she was hungry, and it was a bit of a drive from where we were but so worth it - we got to try their milkshakes that night while we waited for our food to be ready, and I'm not a huge milkshake fan generally but the shake she gave me brought me back to the best parts of my childhood like instantly.
Basically, what I'm trying to say with this long review, is that this place is 110% worth your time and money; I think the prices are incredibly fair (especially in this economy) and the food is delicious and made with attention to detail. Not only that, but the restaurant is so clean! It makes me so happy to see an establishment that cares so much.
If I had to recommend any dishes, I'd recommend the butter chicken pizza and the kitkat (?) milkshake. (i think it was kitkat!) PLEASE try them. The pizza especially - SO good and tastes just like traditional butter chicken. :)
Apologies to the owners for waiting so long to leave a review, but also a huge thanks for opening a restaurant that has become a staple in my fond memories since moving to Calgary. I hope you stay around for a long time and get the positive attention you...
Read moreToday, our friends and family recommended that we check out a new pizza place called Delish, asserting that they offer outstanding pizza. Initially, I was hesitant, not wanting to interfere with my pizza cravings or the weekend vibe, as i always eat pizza from UNA as they are always upto standard with the quality of food and but I ultimately chose to join them.
We ordered two pizzas via Uber Eats: the Tandoori Chicken Pizza and the Delish Meat Special Pizza. The most frustrating part was that when I received the boxes, they were not sealed, allowing anyone to open them, taste the contents, or even potentially contaminate them.
Tandoori Chicken Pizza - 14" Regrettably, more than half of this pizza was charred, not only on the edges but also on the bottom. The cheese was overly generous, leading to a sweetness that masked the intended Tandoori flavor, and the burnt parts were inedible due to the overpowering burnt taste.
Delish Meat Special Pizza - 10" Even though it was marketed as a meat pizza, it seemed more like a vegetarian option rather than a meat-heavy dish. It also carried the same unpleasant burnt flavor.
Given the cost and the quality of the food, it was completely not worth it. I was extremely disappointed. For the same $60, I could have savored a delicious pizza from Una along with some extras.
My friends and I consumed the portions that were acceptable because we dislike wasting food. We even had to cut off some crusts and the base to avoid a burnt taste, and the remainder is what we discarded.
I would definitely not recommend this...
Read morePizza is pretty good, but a little overpriced. Extra toppings cost a lot as well. The service is good but the owner put lots of pressure on us to leave a Google review, and she mentioned it possibly 10 times and while my friends and I ate there. It is nice that a Google review gets you 10% off, but it feels a little like exploitation. She asked for a review before we even had anything, just so we can get a discount. That is why I had to change my review later on. Even then, only one person got the discount even though we were splitting the food. Another issue is that the milkshake was not good at all. A regular sized Oreo milkshake was overly expensive at $10 and it tasted like birthday cake/bubble gum milkshake, possibly because of using the same machine and not cleaning in between pours. Not worth it for the shakes. The pizza was ok but a little underwhelming flavor compared to other restaurants offering the same pizza we ordered. The atmosphere was ok, but there should be more than 2 small wrinkled menus in the shop. There was nobody else in the restaurant yet only 2 menus were available and we had to share it. Another thing that would be helpful is a bell at the counter, because the owner kept going into the kitchen for an extended period of time and when we needed napkins, we had to wait for a while for her to come back out. But the best thing is that the restaurant had a huge menu, so much variety or different foods, and countless pizza options. Amazing. Just need to work on the milkshakes. Add more...
