Dosirak — Restaurant in Calgary

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE! we were in the area of the shopping center and noticed a Korean restaurant so my husband and I decided to check it out. When we entered the doors, the man immediately gave us the menu with a warm greeting and smile. We ordered our food and he kindly explained everything we asked since this was our first time here. My husband got the bibimbop and I got the corn dog. Oh my, the serving portion of my corn dog was so filling and it was only $6! I tried my husbands bibimbop and wow everything in his howl we’re very tasty and authentic. Not to mention, both two men checked up on us to see how we were doing and if we needed anything else. I asked for tap water and the man gave me a free bottled water. He was extremely kind. The food and service was the best I’ve ever experienced esp for Korean food- this will be my go to! I only ordered corn dog bc I already had lunch- we came at about 4pm. When we left, it was such a humble and kind experience because BOTH of the men who ran the restaurant came out from the kitchen to greet us and thank us on our way out. I will def be back here to try the other food because the food was very delicious and tasty and the customer service was out of this world! All other restaurants need to take notes lol! This is my favourite Korean place of all time, I highly recommend anyone in the area visit! It excels in all areas, but most prominent include the food and service! The food is incredible, it always tastes fresh and bursting with flavor. Every single aspect is prepared with love and care, and it shines through. The portions are great and fill me up every time, you get a great price for the amount of food you receive. Particularly the bibim cup bop, that's always what I get. There's so much selection and personalization available, the variety of choices to build your meal is one of my favourite parts!

The service is incredible as well. The staff always greet you with a smile, and they immediately provide handheld menus if needed to be easier to read. The food comes out quickly, usually. One time I went with a friend during the lunch rush and the place was filled with people. To apologize for the wait, which wasn't even that long, the owner personally apologized and gave us a free order of spring rolls and each a drink. Without fail the staff work to make your experience better, which includes opening the door for you every time you leave, putting your garbage in the trash personally, and checking on you frequently to ensure you are enjoying your meal. Our experience at Dosirak was absolutely amazing. We arrived and were quickly greeted by one of the owners. He handed us two menus to make ordering simple. I ordered the spicy pork dosirak, and my companion ordered a tofu bipam cup bop. The owner helped me choose the perfect sauce for my dosirak as well as the four toppings for the tofu bowl. He was knowledgeable and able to meet all of our needs. We waited around 10 minutes for our food, all that was completely fresh cooked. When our food was ready the owner explained every item on our plates! He even packaged the seaweed salad separately just in case it wasn’t to our taste. Both of the owners thanked us and even walked us to the door to help us out. The service we experienced is some of the best in the city. Now onto the food. The pork was so flavourful and juicy and the tofu was well seasoned and fried to perfection (which I’m sure all vegetarians will appreciate). Every item on my dosirak was delicious and it was wonderful being able to experience so many flavours in one meal. Most importantly the kimchi.
