I went here during covid and the place was fairly empty. That being said, our server was attentive and the service quick. Their covid protocol was a bit questionable. Most of the cooking staff was not wearing mask and was talking to each other as you would expect in a kitchen but all I could think about are the droplets of spit entering food as they prepared them. Our table was also wiped down with a cloth but I was unsure if the cloth had disinfectant nor did they sprayed disinfecting solution on our table prior to wiping it down. The food was also just ok, nothing special. Nothing was bad, just ok.... We had sisig, lechon kawali and lumpiang sariwa during our visit. The lumpia came out of the kitchen already split which was a bit disappointing cuz I haven’t had these in a while and I really wanted to take a good photo of it. Alas, there was a gaping hole on one of them... I was also disappointed with the lack of sawsawan. In a typical Filipino restaurant, you would usually get an assortment of sawsawan when you order something fatty like lechon kawali (ei something sour like vinegar based sauce or pickled papaya salad), we didn’t get that with our dish. I did asked for spicy vinegar but it wasn’t even spicy...

Visiting our friends from Edmonton and this was the closest Filipino resto to their place. We ordered an hour ahead and our food was ready when I got there. For the amount of food we ordered, I would say the value was worth it. You get the Filipino food staples like lumpia, bistek, kawali, and sisig. The lechon kawali we noticed they probably used peanut oil to fry it as it gave a distinct nutty taste to the fried pork. The usual taste for the kawali is basically that bacon-esque salty taste. With the nutty after taste surely gave it an edge. I'm not sure if this was intentional but I liked it. For sure this caters to the Filipinos who grew up with the food and the flavours. Not so sure if a person outside that culture would want to try it but I definitely recommend this place. The only downside was the fresh lumpia. There are so many versions on how this fresh lumpia is done and this was not the flavour we were looking for. Fresh lumpia is almost always difficult to catch that main taste. It is even challenging for me to exactly explain the taste in writing. I would shy away from ordering that. I will have to update my review as soon as we can have the chance to dine in.

We were huge fans of Chopstix before their renovation and move to a new location. But after we had our late lunch today, we had the worst experience. We arrived at the restaurant at 2:04 p.m. They informed us that there will be a 30-45 minute wait time because they are busy. So I said 45 minutes is not bad for a good and delicious meal. 👍🏽 They took our order at 2:10 p.m. (it was fast; we already knew our orders). We order 2 cups of plain rice, crispy pata, pork sinigang, and fresh lumpia. The order of food arrived at the table: 3:14pm Fresh lumpia 3:25pm Pork sinigang and rice At 3:46 p.m., the crispy pata finally arrived. Pero malamig na yung sabaw ko 😂😂 Verdict: The food is amazing! But the service is very slow. I wish they should downgrade back to their carenderia style because the service before was far the best.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The service was unbelievably slow—our food took forever to arrive, and they only served it when I was already about to cancel my order. On top of that, the staff was extremely rude when I tried to raise my concerns with management, making it clear they had no intention of resolving issues professionally. I think the management needs a proper supervisor. When I said I would just cancel my orders, the older woman responded, "Go ahead, take everything and cancel the order," instead of approaching me and resolving the issue. Instead of addressing the problem, that’s what I had to hear. What kind of unprofessionalism is that?

And I heard one of the staff blaming the kitchen for the delay because of the sizzling plate. But when I brought it up as a concern, they just said it takes a long time to wash? Just one plate takes that long? How many minutes does it take to wash a single plate? Meanwhile, you see other customers who ordered even more food already finishing their meals, while I, who arrived earlier, haven’t even started eating yet? Honestly, the staff is rude, especially the servers. They apologize, but they raise their voices at you?

To make things worse, I asked for some chili, and I was shocked to see the staff grab it with their bare hands, put it in a container, and hand it to me as if that was normal. No gloves, no utensils—just completely unsanitary!

And when I spoke to their manager and asked why she didn’t step in earlier to resolve the situation, I was shocked to find out that she was the same woman who rudely had all the food taken from our table without hesitation. She even told me, “I don’t need you; you’re not the only customer here.” What kind of staff do they have? The restaurant wasn’t even busy, yet their service was worse than big, fully packed restaurants.

Whoever is reading this, you can also see the owner's responses to all the negative reviews—they are not even educated and don’t know how to communicate properly. If you want good service, don’t go to this restaurant.

With this kind of service and lack of hygiene, I will definitely not be coming back. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere...

very, very disappointed! we came around past 5 pm they let us sit by the table and just gave the menu, waited for almost 20 minutes the server did not come back to take our order so i decided to go in the front and ask them to take our orders. Saw the staff they were all in the front busy preparing for the pick up order’s and they forgot their customers that has already waited by the table much longer. We ordered only for 2 kinds in the menu but indeed up waiting for almost 2hrs before they served the food, what’s worst is that they only served one menu which by the way was just setting by the counter in the front for more than 10 minutes cause i was always looking in the front and i can tell it was our order and by the time they served it t’was cold already. the beef steak tagalog we ordered was not good it was very sweet , the meat was not tender but because we got really hungry of waiting we just ate it but didn’t finished. We were done eating with our rice but still the sisig bangus was not serve so we just cancelled it and paid for the food that we ate. Seriously, they let the people come in and have them seated for 15 minutes but ended up telling them if they can wait for an hour before they will get served. Never experienced such a bad service! They used to be ok in the old location, they are expanding there business but seems they dont know how deal with it. They opened last week they should know already that by weekend it will be the busiest day of the week but still they were very short staff! They were far too busy attending pick up order’s than the people who want’s to dine in. They should just open there business for pick up orders not a dining restaurant cause they can’t keep up. Server’s need a lot of training! I dont think of coming back anymore in this place! Not worth your...

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with a recent visit to your restaurant. The overall experience was extremely disappointing and far below acceptable standards.

First and foremost, the quality and taste of the food served were very poor. It was bland, unappetizing, and clearly not fresh. It did not meet the basic expectations for taste or quality that one would expect when dining out.

Furthermore, the fountain drink station was out of order during our visit. To make matters worse, Coke Zero – a common and popular beverage option – was not available at all. When I inquired about alternatives, I was informed that outside drinks are not allowed. This is both unreasonable and unacceptable. If your fountain drink station is not working, it is your responsibility to provide an alternative solution. The absence of any bottled sodas, cans, or even a simple bottle of Coke Zero as an alternative is unacceptable. It shows a lack of consideration for your customers’ basic needs and dietary preferences. Expecting customers to go without a proper beverage—or forcing them to pay full price for a meal experience that lacks a standard drink option—is simply poor service. You should have contingency options like bottled or canned soft drinks available for situations like this. Instead, I was left without any suitable drink option and was not allowed to bring my own. This level of service is not only disappointing but also reflects badly on your restaurant’s management. I will not be returning, and I certainly cannot recommend this location to anyone based on this experience. I hope you take this feedback seriously and address these...
